I am sorry to say the sign finally went up. IGA is closing. And offering 20% off all merchandise left in the store. And that is all the sign says...those two lines. I guess we all knew it was inevitable with the opening of Big Y just around the corner. But quite frankly the thrill of Big Y wore off very quickly for me. If I had a dollar for every silver coin I have collected I would be rich. I am very sad to see IGA go. It is another sign of the times I guess. Small mom and pops put out of business by the Walmarts and Home Depots. As I have lived in town most of the last 22 years of my life Central Plaza was the center of town for me.
