Naugatuck CT   7th Duck Days Race and Family Day,  Sunday June 3 It's time for the ducks to have their race down the Naugatuck River. It might not be as well known as the Kentucky Derby or even the Indianapolis 500 but in these parts it’s a fun day for all ages.The greatest (almost) race in Naugatuck Ct. From the starting line at Maple and Water Streets, 25,000 rubber ducks will plunge into the Naugatuck River in an attempt to win a prize for their owner.The Duck Days race is a fun event for the residents of Naugatuck and the surrounding towns and is a fundraiser for the area's non-profit organizations. Volunteers sell tickets and receive half of the proceeds at the post celebration banquet.In the past, this event has raised over $175,000 in donations to help worthy causes in the Valley...
