My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, but unfortunately because of time constraints I don't get to have a full breakfast as often as I would like, and because it is my favorite meal I will sometimes have it as my dinner meal.  When I do get a chance to go out for breakfast Mitchell's On Main Street In Cromwell, Connecticut is my favorite place to go. Mitchell's On Main Street In Cromwell, Connecticut is not fancy as you can see from the pictures, but I do not go there because of looks, I go there because of the quality of the food, and Mitchell's On Main Street In Cromwell, Connecticut is as good as it gets.  They have three locations in Connecticut, Mitchell's on the River at 273 Meadow Road - Rocky Hill, Mitchell's Coffee House at  2010 Silas Deane Hwy. - Rocky Hill, and the one ...

This weekend was a great weekend for Yankee Fans, the Yankees not only broke an 8 game losing streak against the Red Sox, but they SWEPT them.  That is not the only reasons why this was a great weekend for Yankee Fans.  The Yankees held the Red Sox scoreless for 31 consecutive innings, and were one inning short of holding them scoreless for three consecutive games. Friday night's game between A.J. Burnett and Josh Beckett was a classic.  The Yankees and Red Sox went 14 innings of scoreless baseball until the Yankees scored 2 runs to end the game on a walk off home run by Alex Rodríguez.  And last night capped off a perfect weekend with the Red Sox going ahead 2-1 in the eight inning, to only have the Yankees come back with four runs in the bottom of the eight inning and win the game ...

The Topsy Turvy Tomato Tree Really Works!!!  I ordered both the tomato and strawberry Topsy Turvy planters this year, and I have been amazed at how well the work, and how easy it is to take care of the tomatoes and strawberries.  I have the planters on my deck so they are easy to get to, to water the plants at any time of the day. I ordered them late so the tomatoes are just starting to come in, but as you can see they have started to come in, and will be nice and red before to long. I have been getting strawberries for about a month now, a few ripen every couple of days.  However, I think that next year I will plant cherry tomatoes in the strawberry planter, and the larger tomatoes in the larger planter.  I will also plant them earlier in the year since I will already have the planters...

When I do a Mortgage Loan for a Borrower, one of the first things that I always advise them to do is to replace all of the locks on their new house as soon as possible, and the place that I tell them to go to is Smith & Bishel Hardware In Middletown, Connecticut.  They can go to one of the big boys like Home Depot, or Lowe's, but non of those places will give them the type of personal and professional service like they will get from Scott Bishel at Smith & Bishel Hardware In Middletown, Connecticut. Smith & Bishel Hardware In Middletown, Connecticut is probably the oldest business in Downtown Middletown.  Smith & Bishel Hardware was started by Scott Bishel's Great, Great Grandfather in 1898.  For those of you who have a hard time doing math, that is 111 years that this family owned and ...

Middletown Connecticut can be identified by five major sections, South Farms, Westfield, Westlake, Downtown, and the Northend. With the most rural, and diverse sections being the Westfield, and South Farm sections of town.  Of these two sections South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is the most centrally located to major through-ways, shopping areas, as well as Downtown. South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is bordered by RT 9 & 155.  While this section of town has a very country atmosphere to it, you can be Downtown, grocery shopping, taking in a movie, or having your favorite fast food within 5 minutes. While South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is the home to several small farms that are still run by families that first started them, such as the Lee, Graves, Harris, and Brock familie...

Cedar Village Planned Residential Community, Middletown, Connecticut, also known as Julia Terrace, is located in the South Farms area of Middletown, Connecticut near RT 9.  It is one of the five Planned Residential Communities that were built in Middletown, Connecticut during the 70's and 80's.  The other four were Wesleyan Hills, Sand Hill Road, Knox Boulevard, and The Farms. Unlike the Wesleyan Hills Planned Residential Community which I wrote about yesterday, Cedar Village Planned Residential Community, Middletown, Connecticut did not follow the original plan that it was supposed to be developed under.  Cedar Village was suppose to be developed in three different phase, which it was, but before the first phase was completed the original builder filled bankruptcy and left the sub con...

After 32 years I finally had to replace my roof, and when that time came to find Roofers in Middletown, CT.,  there was no question in my mind as to who the "Roofing Company Of Choice In Middletown, Connecticut" would be, Turner & Sons.  Turner & Sons have been replacing roofs windows, and siding in the Middletown Connecticut area since 1956.  Hayden Turner, the father and owner, is not only a professional in the way he runs his business, but has also been a tremendous asset to the community out the years through his involvement in civic, charitable, sports and other community organizations. I first met Hayden when our two sons were just starting out playing soccer here in Middletown.  Both boys are now 27 years old, and my son Matthew is teaching, and Doug Turner is being trained by...

Most Sales People have goals, whether they are put in writing or not.  But how many of us know what our purpose is, or even ashed ourselves what our purpose is.  You might ask what is the difference, aren't goals and purpose the same?  I would say they are not. We can have a purpose in life or in business without any particular goals attached to that purpose.  But I do not think that we can have goals with out a purpose, and if we do, then that might be the reason why we fail to meet our goals. Purpose in my opinion is dependent on: Knowledge Attitude Sense of Worth Goals in my opinion are more: Vision Driven Ability to stay on task Accomplishment Purpose asks why am I here, and what do I want to accomplish, while goals are results orientated, setting strategies to accomplishing what we...

Three weeks ago I got a call from the local William Raveis Real Estate in house Loan Officer.  She had a loan that met FHA Guidelines, but she could not get an approval on it, because their investor did not like the limited number of credit lines that the Borrower had.  I wanted to make sure that I would not have the same problem so I went over to my Underwriter and ran the scenario by her.  She told me that we would not have a problem with that and to bring the loan in.  I called the other Loan Officer back to let her know that we should be able to do it.  At this point she added one more little twist, we had to get it done within 8 business days, and that Friday was a day off for the 4th of July.  I told her that we should be able to get it done in time as long as she could get all of...
