 Middletown, CT, CT is not thought of as a rural or farm town, but both the South-Side and Northwest-Side of Middletown have several working farms.  The farm in the picture above and the pictures of the farm below are of farms just down the street from me, less than 1/4 mile away.  Besides the cows, horses, and crops on these farms, they also grow their own hay.  This past week the local Farmers were out bailing the hay they cut earlier in the week before.For these Farmers this is nothing special and a lot of hard work.  But for a city slicker like me, watching them haying and then bailing it is a special sight.  The local Farmers will do this several times during the Summer and again in the Fall.  The hay they produce and bail is what their animals will survive on during the Winter mon... 10/03/2016
