We Lucked Out Again In Missing The Brunt Of Another Snow Storm Yesterday.  Even though the snow started to come down around 10:00 a.m. and did not stop until after 9:00 p.m., we only got about 6" here in Middletown, CT.   This was the second snow storm of the year, and so far we have been on the low side of both snow falls.  However, January is starting off with lots of the white stuff, and more is expected on Tuesday. Even though we missed out on the brunt of the snow yesterday, the roads were very slick, and we had a 20+ car pile up on I-91.  The pile up caused I-91 here in Middletown, CT to be closed for several hours.   We have lucked out so far this year in my part of Connecticut, but the Northern part of the state has not been as lucky.  We got a couple of snow falls in December, but nothing major.  At about 3:00 a.m. today the snow started to fall for Our First Snow Fall In Middletown, CT In 2017, but once again it was only a few inches.
