The American Red Cross Is In Need Of Blood Donations, and the Jackson Chevrolet Blood Drive On Wednesday, May 25th., is an excellent opportunity to help alleviate the present shortage.  This is the first time I have seen a local car dealership provide a community service like this. If you are not near Jackson Chevrolet in Middletown, CT on Wednesday, May 25th., and want to help by donating blood, you can follow this link on the American Red Cross website to find a location near you. According to the American Red Cross O-Positive blood is always the most in demand, because 45% of the people in the United States have either O-Positive or O-Negative blood.  Donors with type "O" blood are universal donors, their blood can be given to people of all blood types. Here are some facts that I d...

I keep on reading articles about how Zillow and other Internet Companies like Zillow are going to replace Realtors and Loan Originators. We are in a great age, the age of technology.  This is a time we can have almost any information, or most anything we want at the click of a button.  Technology helps us run our business faster and more efficiently through computer automation. But no matter how sophisticated computers and technology get, they cannot eliminate what in my opinion is still desired most by clients, human contact. For this reason The Internet Will Not Replace The Human Touch In Real Estate. In the Mortgage Industry we have Loan Origination Programs which make it possible for us to produce loan documents and put a loan in process quickly.  These Loan Origination Programs enab...

Happy Mother's Day 2016.  On Mother's Day we always try to do something special for the Mother's at our Church.  So the last six years we have started what has become a tradition for us, serving breakfast to our mother's and expecting mother's on Mother's Day.The breakfast is cooked by several men of the congregation, and the Mother's are served by their children, both young and old.  Both the men and children find it is a great way to serve Mother's who serve them all year long, and try to start their day in a special way.Last year was the first Mother's Day for my daughter in-law, and my gorgeous granddaughter Elizabeth.  It was a special Mother's Day Breakfast not only for them but for my son, my wife, and myself.  This year my son, daughter in-law, and Elizabeth will not be able to...

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) implemented a guideline a little over 2 years ago on January 10, 2014, which very few people outside of the Lending Industry are aware of.  Under the new guideline the CFPB established, the CFPB Counseling Classes For All Home Purchases & Refinances. The new CFPB Guideline required ALL Lenders to include a written list of Homeownership Counseling Organizations, with EVERY Loan within 3 days of having the 6 required pieces of information which constitutes a Mortgage Application.  However, even though the CFPB Counseling Class Guideline requires Lenders to provide Borrowers with a written list of Homeownership Counseling Organizations with EVERY Loan within 3 days, it does not mandate Borrowers to take the Counseling Classes.  Also Lenders a...

There are many signs of Spring, and most people would associate the first signs of Spring with the blooming of Spring Flowers, which provide us with beautiful colors after a cold gray Winter.  For others it may be a specific day on the calender, or when the snow is all gone and the weather becomes warmer.  While these are all great reasons to celebrate Spring, for the Souto Family Spring does not arrive until the first time the lawnmower is pull out, the snow blower is put away, and the grass is cut for the first time.  This year this happened yesterday.  Saturday, April 23rd Was The First Sign Of Spring For The Souto Family.   This year the arrival of Spring for the Souto Family was on the same day as last year.  Spring is my favorite time of they year so I hope it sticks around for a ...
