My Wife's Spring To Fall Blooms.  Belinda Spillman is hosting an ActiveRain Challenge for August titled "Show Us Your Summer Blooms and Crops".  In her challenge she challenges us to share pictures of our landscape, flowers or crops from our vegetable garden.  I have never had any success at gardening, but my wife does a good job with her plants and flower.  However, almost of all the flowers she hase are perennials which come up in the spring.   Such as the crocuses to the right which come up so early in the Spring that most years they are fighting their way up through the snow.  The daffodils to the left come up about a week or two after the crocuses and produce a flower for most of the Spring.  We have different varieties of daffodils, and each year more bloom than the year before.So... 08/05/2017

 Middletown, CT, CT is not thought of as a farm town, but both the South-Side and Northwest-Side of Middletown have several working farms.  The farms in the picture above and below are just down the street from me, less than 1/4 mile away.  Besides the cows, horses, and crops on these farms, they also grow their own hay.  So three to four times each year the local Farmers are out haying their field, and in some cases work team up and help each other.Even though I have seen our local  several times, I am always impressed the process of first cutting the hay, drying it, and then bailing the hay.  This is a lot of hard work, but these Farmers take pride in working their farms.For our local Farmers haying is nothing special, but for a city slicker like me, watching them haying and then bail... 07/18/2017

  The ARTFARM will be performing their version of a Shakespeare classic, Hamlet At The Middlesex Community College Grove July 12-23.   Every performance is held outdoor, and will start at 8:00 p.m.  However, everyone is encouraged to come early and picnic on the Grove at The Middlesex Community College before each performances.  Those who plan to attend should bring there own lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on. The 2017 Middletown, Ct 4th Of July Fireworks Festival, will go off tonight, Saturday, July 1st if the weather permits .  This year's Fourth of July Fireworks Festival in Middletown, CT will follow a similar format to the last three year's Fourth of July Fireworks Festival.   We had a Relay For Life held in Meriden, CT last month and tomorrow the 2017 Relay For Life At Middletown High School, In Middltown, CT will be held.  The Middletown High School is located on Woodrow Wilson Middle School is located on LaRosa Drive,  Middletown, CT off of Newfield Stret. The Middletown High School is the perfect place for a Relay For Life Event.  Middletown High School has an excellent track, and the neighborhoods around the school are safe, and a great place to take a walk or run.
