Hurricane Jose is suppose to start paying the Northeast a visit tomorrow.  Even though we are not suppose to be hit hard here in Connecticut, I am not taking any chances and making sure my generator is in good working order. School started up in Middletown, CT this week, and when my two sons were growing up the one thing my wife & I would search the newspaper for each in everyday for the month of August was the School Bus Schedule.  OK so may be It isn't a real Canadian Invasion!  But a few days ago this farm just down the road from me was loaded with Conadian Geese that  descended on us here in Middletown Connecticut.  Just in the short time that I was standing there, the Canadian Geese were flying in and out, so much so that it felt like a Canadian Invasion.The Canadians are our friends, so their flying long neck honking critters are welcomed here in Middletown Connecticut any time, especially if it is to take a little rest before going South or back to Canada.  However, my car may have a little different opinion of how welcome they are.  Our friends from the North seem to like to use my car for target practive!  ********************************************************************************************** Info ... 08/08/2017

My Wife's Spring To Fall Blooms.  Belinda Spillman is hosting an ActiveRain Challenge for August titled "Show Us Your Summer Blooms and Crops".  In her challenge she challenges us to share pictures of our landscape, flowers or crops from our vegetable garden.  I have never had any success at gardening, but my wife does a good job with her plants and flower.  However, almost of all the flowers she hase are perennials which come up in the spring.   Such as the crocuses to the right which come up so early in the Spring that most years they are fighting their way up through the snow.  The daffodils to the left come up about a week or two after the crocuses and produce a flower for most of the Spring.  We have different varieties of daffodils, and each year more bloom than the year before.So... 08/05/2017
