A month ago we were supposed to get hit with a major snow storm but we luck out and only got 6".  Well We Did Not Luck Out This Time, We Got Hit With 18" Of Snow In Middletown, CT yesterday. The snow started to come down before 6:00 a.m. and kept on coming down really heavy until about 3:30 p.m.  To top it off the wind was blowing pretty good, which made it very difficult to snow blow the snow.  To top it off I could only blow the snow in one direction, or else it would just blow right back in my face.  Even with blowing the snow with the wind, some of the snow still blew back on my face as you can see from the picture on the right.  The icicles on my mustache did not want to thaw out, even after I came back into my nice warm house from snow blowing my driveway and my neighbors for 4 ho...

The Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Women's Business Alliance and The Real Estate Council will be hosting the Create With Clay, Network & Have Fun at the Creative Girl Studios at 360 Main Street, Middletown, CT.   At this event those in attendance will be making their own clay pins or pendants.  Also at this event the Chamber will provide refreshments and snacks, but if anyone wants to have a beverage with a little more kick they will need to bring their own.I don't understand why the Middlesex Chamber's Women's Business Alliance and The Real Estate Council is limiting this event to just female members.  How do they know we men would not enjoy the Create With Clay, Network & Have Fun event on February 8th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. as well???  Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Women's Busines...

We Lucked Out Again In Missing The Brunt Of Another Snow Storm Yesterday.  Even though the snow started to come down around 10:00 a.m. and did not stop until after 9:00 p.m., we only got about 6" here in Middletown, CT.   This was the second snow storm of the year, and so far we have been on the low side of both snow falls.  However, January is starting off with lots of the white stuff, and more is expected on Tuesday. Even though we missed out on the brunt of the snow yesterday, the roads were very slick, and we had a 20+ car pile up on I-91.  The pile up caused I-91 here in Middletown, CT to be closed for several hours. Above is a picture of my neighbor snow blowing his driveway, and his grandson D'Andre doing a fantastic job of supervising grandpa.  Below are a few more pictures to ...

We have lucked out so far this year in my part of Connecticut, but the Northern part of the state has not been as lucky.  We got a couple of snow falls in December, but nothing major.  At about 3:00 a.m. today the snow started to fall for Our First Snow Fall In Middletown, CT In 2017, but once again it was only a few inches. It is very unlikely we will continue to luck out and avoid the major snow storms, but for now I am happy we have not got hit with on so far this Winter.  Below is a couple of pictures of Our First Snow Fall In Middletown, CT In 2017.         ******************************************************************************  Info about the author: George Souto NMLS# 65149 is a Loan Originator who can assist you with all your #FHA, #CHFA, and #Conventional #mortgage ne...

School Craft Fairs are a excellent way to show support for local schools, and tomorrow is an opportunity to do just that by stopping by the Woodrow Wilson Middle School 2016 Holiday Craft Fair December 3rd, in Middletown, CT.  School Craft Fairs are also a great way to find Christmas gifts for those hard to buy for people. I still remember when my two sons were in school, my wife and I would spend our day helping to set up, man a booth, and then help take down things at the end of the day.  It was a lot of work, but it never seemed like work, it was fun.  Now we get to just go and enjoy the Craft Fairs we use to assist at. If you are near Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Middletown, CT. on tomorrow stop in, and support the kids by making a small purchase.  You will not only be support...
