The housing stock consists of a mix of existing neighborhoods in town, new and newer neighborhoods on the periphery of town and semi-rural homes on larger lots or acreage further out. There is substantial on-going new construction occurring in the area.     Homes sold strongly in the 80550 zip code in 2014 - there were 627 sales, ranging from a low of $52,500 to a high of $950,000, with a median price of $323,550 and an average price of $354,480. There are lots of us out there that do NOT garden.  We like vegetation sure, but we don't want to mow it, clip it, water it, etc.  We just want to look at it.   Why is this relevant to Patio Homes, you ask?  Well by my definition, a Patio Home is a single family residence whereby the home owners association, for a fee, provides you with lawn care and snow removal.  Some even provide maintenance of the outside of the residence.  My suggestion is to find out by reading the covenants what exactly you are getting with your Patio Home.   Patio homes keep their resale nicely.  There have been many times in previous history in Northern Colorado, that townhomes and condos sat on the market because single family homes were affordable.  That being said, most people want the privacy a single famil...
