Check out North Creek Farms if you want a newer home that's not squished onto a tiny lot, and still at a great price.   Home prices are lower in Thornton because it's farther east and farther north than most people want to live, but it's perfect for people who work anyplace with a few minutes' drive. And since I-25 is right there, that covers a lot of ground! Just take exit 290, then take the first left. Once you see turn right and you're at North Creek Farms. There's lots of shopping nearby, including Office Depot, Home Depot, restaurants, Costco, and more. Cherrywood Park in Thornton CO Active vs Sold housesIn the Cherrywood Park neighborhood in Thornton Colorado, located just North of 136th Ave. and just East of Colorado Blvd there are currently 27 houses for sale priced between $159k and $345k.  In the last six months there have been 27 houses sold also between the price ranges of $150k to $360k.  That is a lot of houses being sold for that area.The houses that have sold were listed on the market for an average of only 62 days and sold for approximately 94% of their original listed price.  This discount from original listing price is a little larger than we see in most northern metro Denver markets.  But, the time on the market to get the house sold is below average for the Denver metro  market.  That is good news for home sellers.If y... 09/28/2010
