Parker Homes for Sale  - Market Update July 2014    The Town of Parker is Southeast of Denver approximately 30 miles with a population just over 47,000 (2012).    The City of  Parker is a quaint town that is commonly called a bedroom community.    It has the small town feel, yet has lots to offer.   You will find many locally owned businesses and restaurants.       Buyers looking for Homes for Sale in Parker will find July 2014 reflects the seasonal slowdown in July and saw a decrease in sales over the previous month.    Last year looking at detached family home sales only, there were 181 sold in July 2013, sales are up from one year ago.  Listing inventory has increased over June (418) and increased significantly over  July 2013 (248)   Let's look at the sale data from the month of Ju...

Things to do in Parker, CO: Smokin' Brew BBQ and Cowpie Bingo Rich and I belong to the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker. Rotary International is a non-profit service organization. Their motto is "Service Above Self". Our club, does several fundraisers throughout the year to support our causes. Our biggest fundraiser is held on Labor Day weekend, the Smokin' Brew BBQ.   SMOKIN' BREW BBQ The Smokin' Brew BBQ is a competition BBQ event held in beautiful Downtown Parker on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend (August 29th, 30th and 31st). Aw, The Views In Our Suburban Neighborhood We live in a suburban, cookie-cutter neighborhood. We are fortunate to back to the golf course and we have great views of the mountains and the city, and a nice (although small) deck. When we moved here about 7 1/2 years ago we were looking for a ranch style plan, new construction with a nice yard. The views were a bonus. While driving through our neighborhood we often have "deer sightings". Not sure where the bed down for the night, but we see them out for breakfast, lunch or dinner during the day. We've also been fortunate enough to see them up close and personal. Last year we had a Momma and her babies spending quite a bit of time with us and we loved it! Market News - Parker CO  - June 2014    The Town of Parker is Southeast of Denver approximately 30 miles with a population just over 47,000 (2012).    The City of  Parker is a quaint town that is commonly called a bedroom community.    It has the small town feel, yet has lots to offer.   You will find many locally owned businesses and restaurants.       June 2014 showed a significant increase in sales over the previous month, and the summer sales remain strong.    Last year looking at detached family home sales only, there were 172 sold in June 2013, showing a 42% increase in sales from one year ago.    Even though the days on market show 43 days on market, most homes receive offers on the first day of showing, multiple offers are received and Sellers are taking a couple days to decide...

Restaurant Spotlight: Parker, Colorado: Brick House Tap & Tavern   Meet Me for a Meal or Some Networking! When it comes to lunch or dinner in Parker, Colorado, there are many choices. Earlier this week we met a friend for lunch at the Brick House. My favorite thing about the Brick House is the menu. There's a good variety including snacks, burgers, pizza, salads, sandwiches and "meats". Included in the "meats" portion of the menu are items like fish & chips, bbq baby back ribs and chicken fried steak! They also have a great drink menu, but we didn't partake at lunch.
