                  Working in Parker property management we have maintenance issues almost year round.  For some reason they seem to stop around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but are every day during the remaining ten months.  As part of the referral series on vendors we do business with we would like to put a spotlight on Robert Schmidt of Just Call Robert Handyman Service.  Robert did over 200 work orders for Blue Olive Properties in 2014.  It’s safe to say we’ve referred him plenty of business.  Robert in return does good work for us.  He can do everything from snaking a drain to removing an old play set in the backyard, and everything in between.  It helps that he has a good attitude and can be an entertaining presence in the house when he’s there fixing things.                  A good...

Parker Homes for Sale  - Market Update September 2014    The Town of Parker is Southeast of Denver approximately 30 miles with a population just over 47,000 (2012).    The City of  Parker is a quaint town that is commonly called a bedroom community.    It has the small town feel, yet has lots to offer.   You will find many locally owned businesses and restaurants.       Buyers looking for Homes for Sale in Parker will find September 2014 remained the same as July sales and saw a small decrease in sales over the previous month.    Last year looking at detached family home sales only, there were 161 sold in September 2013, sales are up from one year ago.  Listing inventory has increased over August (409) and decreased significantly over  September 2013 (540)   Let's look at the sale data...

Today marks the first day of Fall and in Parker you can tell the shift in seasons is about to take hold.  Many trees outside the office and throughout neighborhoods are turning a little at the edges.  It will be a couple weeks until it is fully red and yellow around here.  The mornings have been getting noticeably crispier and shorts and t-shorts have not been worn on the weekends.  Luckily in Colorado we have over 300 days of sunshine per year so even though the temperature is dropping there is still plenty to do outside.  As part of our Parker property management newsletter we give out common household tips as preventative maintenance for the Fall months to come.  Fall Maintenance is best suited to a checklist to hit off important items before the Winter comes.  When the wet flurries ...
