Stonegate Parker CO OverviewA well-established community with houses that are still considered relatively new is a great way to describe Stonegate Parker CO. Referred to interchangeably as Stonegate and Stonegate Village, the properties in this neighborhood are almost all owner-occupied. Most Stonegate homes for sale are single-family and considered either medium or large – with most houses having at least three bedrooms, and some with more than five. With its tranquil suburban setting, access to top-notch public schools, and many amenities available to residents, it’s no wonder there is a strong demand for properties in Stonegate.Due to its convenient location just south of Denver, many Stonegate residents travel easily to downtown Denver, the Denver Tech Center, and even Colorado Spri...

What did you do today? I moved the library! About a month ago, Rich and I registered to be part of the bookworm. What's that you ask? I long line of humans (the library guestimated about 1200 people registered) to pass books from the old library to the new library (a little bit less than a mile apart). At 10:00 am, we started passing 21 books. Why 21? To represent the age of the old library which opened in 1995. Among the books were: Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and The Big Blue Thing on the Hill by Yuval Zommer (a children's book). How did they pick the books? They asked for suggestions from the library's patrons. We were so excited to be part of history! We love living in Parker and this is part of our growth. Ca...

Things To Do in Parker, CO: Parker Oktoberfest 2016Have you ever wondered why Oktoberfest is in September? I have! Here's the short answer:Oktoberfest began in Munich, Germay on October 12, 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. It became an annual event. Since the weather in October can be miserably cold, the celebration was moved to September! Makes sense to me! Founded and hosted by the CACC (Council of Arts, Science and Culture) formerly the PAC (Parker Arts Council) and presented by Erdinger Weissbrau, the authentic German brewing company, the 11 Annual Parker Oktoberfest promises to bring in more than 20,000 visits and 90+ vendors. This FREE family friendly event will take place mid-September and will include authentic beer and food, as well as ...

Serendipity Sunday: Art in the ParkOn Friday night we noticed tents going up in the park in Downtown Parker. What was that about, we wondered. Well this morning we found out the answer. Celebrating 15 years of fine art, the Parker Arts Guild was hosting Art in the Park. An exhibition of local artisans in the categories of paint, photography, glass, wood, metal, jewelryy, pottery and more! Admission was free, parking was free and the weather was lovely...no rain (while we were there) and mild temperatures. We strolled along and admired all the artwork. We made one purchase at the very end of our walk among the artists. We have some wonderfully talented folks in our midst!I will definitely plan to visit the "show" again next year.  Serendipity Sunday: Art in the Park
