What did you do today? I moved the library! About a month ago, Rich and I registered to be part of the bookworm. What's that you ask? I long line of humans (the library guestimated about 1200 people registered) to pass books from the old library to the new library (a little bit less than a mile apart).At 10:00 am, we started passing 21 books. Why 21? To represent the age of the old library which opened in 1995. Among the books were: Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and The Big Blue Thing on the Hill by Yuval Zommer (a children's book). Serendipity Sunday: Art in the ParkOn Friday night we noticed tents going up in the park in Downtown Parker. What was that about, we wondered. Well this morning we found out the answer. Celebrating 15 years of fine art, the Parker Arts Guild was hosting Art in the Park. An exhibition of local artisans in the categories of paint, photography, glass, wood, metal, jewelryy, pottery and more! Admission was free, parking was free and the weather was lovely...no rain (while we were there) and mild temperatures.We strolled along and admired all the artwork. We made one purchase at the very end of our walk among the artists. Things To Do in Parker, CO: PACE Center Patio Party Throughout the Summer months, the Parker Arts, Culture & Events (PACE) Center hosts monthly patio parties. What is a patio party and when are they? I'm glad you asked! A patio party is a FREE concert on the patio at the PACE Center. (Makes senses, huh?)
