Paonia High School 2013 State Football Playoff Information. The Paonia Eagles are extending their football season. This Saturday, November 9th, 2013 is their second state championship playoff game. The Eagles will take on the Monte Vista Pirates. Last weekend, the Eagles defeated Colorado Christain High School. This is the 1A division. The Paonia Eagles Football Team will have homefield advantage for this playoff game. The game will be played at Paonia Town Park and it starts at 1:00PM. Paonia's record is 9-1 for the seasn. Third Annual Paonia, CO Film Festival...Local Films by Local Artists. Organizers are putting the call out to all amateur and professional film makers to shoot locally. This is a local event about local people, local events and our wonderful Western Slope area.  Most of the film creators will be from the Western Slope, but that's not a requirement to enter the festival. The Third Annual Paonia, CO Film Festival features short films...less than 30 minutes long in a variety of catagories. Mountain Harvest Festival, Paonia, CO...Another Mark Your Calendar Event. Every year on the last weekend in September, Paonia, CO hosts it's Mountain Harvest Festival. This year's event marks the 12th year that people from around the state have gathered together to celebrate farming, music, art, poetry, family and life in general. Paonia Cherry Days...Another Delta County, Colorado Mark Your Calendar Event. Every year around the 4th of July, Paonia, Colorado hosts Cherry Days to celebrate the cherry harvest and community. This small mountain town has been celebrating Cherry Days for over 60 years, and it's one of the longest running festivals in Colorado. This year the fun starts on July 4th, 2012. This Delta County, Colorado event has something for the whole family. This place has been around since 1920. In keeping with it's theme, this venue doesn't play host to the ordinary. It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...now I have that song stuck in my head. Yesterday's storm dumped a lot of snow on us here in Western Colorado. In my area of Delta County we got over 7 inches. I took some neat pictures while I was out looking at houses, today.
