Keystone Colorado opens today for ski season. Today's activities will be known as Dercum day in honor of the resorts cofounders Max and Edna Dercum. A special dedication is planned for nine o'clock this morning just prior to the lifts opening there will be live music at the base area starting at 8 AM.  Keystone workers will again hand out free coffee free hot chocolate and doughnuts at the River Run base area. Vail Resorts officially kicks off the 2011-2012 season today with the opening of Keystone.  It’s been cold and snowy these last couple weeks, putting everyone in a great mood with the opening dates of the Vail Resorts mountains on the horizon.  And today, it’s go time! New Ice Rink in Keystone, Colorado Keystone Resort has started construction on the new ice rink that will be located in Dercum Square of River Run in Keystone, Colorado.  The project was proposed to the county back in spring of 2011.  The new Keystone ice rink is scheduled to be complete and open for business Thanksgiving 2011.  The addition of the ice rink in River Run Village will be a great extension to all River Run Condo owners and guests.
