Emergency!   Really? Recently, Tammie White wrote an excellent blog "Why I Use a Preferred Lender". One response was from Phil Caulfield, a mortgage lender in the San Francisco Bay area. One of his comments:  "My point here is that the comments and actions described in this article and thread of comments shows that a pre-approval letter doesn't mean much." Another mortgage branch manager, Deanna Early, commented: "...be there for you when you needed me but I'd need more than 5 minutes to commit to making your client's mortgage loan." November 23, 2013  Another Snow Day! This is a drive from Westcliffe, CO to the town of Wetmore, CO.  The drive is 26 miles with Hwy 96 beginning in the hamlet of Westcliffe. We passed about 2 dozen Big Horn Sheep and as many wild turkeys. You will often see more wildlife than vehicles.  This section of the drive is a 12 mile trip down the mountains through what is called Hardscrabble Canyon.  Sometimes, it just don't get no better!  Enjoy the day.

These “orphans” are people moving with little if any family in the area. People move to the Fremont County area for a variety of reasons. But many buyers are drawn to the area for the climate and activities including hiking, Maybe they have family somewhere in the state but for the most part they are just drawn to the mountains.   When these “orphans” first come to town I try to give them the “tour” if I can.
