Betty Boop was so popular but some cities banned her like Philadelphia as being too risque so when she returned a few months later, she had lost her garter. Betty Boop merchandise is very popular still today as they sell clothing, purses, stationary, jewelry and other memorabilia with the popular wide eyed girl.
