The Ventura Train Trestle that spans the 101 freeway near the California exit in Ventura has been graffiti-ridden for so long and it is not the first impression that the citizens of Ventura would like to make. This weekend the graffiti will be gone on the whole expanse of the train trestle. This removal of the graffiti will require shutting down a stretch of the northbound 101 freeway, overnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. According to Caltrans, some 94,000 cars pass under this trestle daily.
