Client gathering is one of the most challenging things to do in the Real Estate Business, as you must list and sell to stay in business.  In attracting Seller's, agents must Prospect - for potential Sellers and Service - Provide Feedback, stay in touch, advise. In attracting Buyer's, agents must Prospect - for potential Buyers and Service - Analyze the market & Find/Show Properties.   But when it comes down to the meat and potatoes of it all, If you don't list, you are out of business!!!  Whether it was your sphere of influence, ActiveRain, Referral, Sign Call, Farm, Advertisement, etc. How did you get your last listing.   Share your story and maybe it will help someone else, or you will learn something new. There are currently more short sale homes under contract - total of 63.  17 short sales closed escrow last month vs. only 6 in Nov 08.  Hopefully they will all close although past experience would dictate caution.  Banks have been very tough to negotiate those contracts.  In order to put things in perspective, here is additional data: last month the total of 17 short sales closed successfully vs. only 6 a year a...

Stand for Christmas.com  This is a great website courtesy of Focus on the Family and Dr. Dobson for us all to go to rate major stores on keeping Christmas Themes for their decorating and use of The reasons for the Season- Christmas in the store.  Personally, I agree with Dr. Dobson, that if a store has no decorations or no mention of Christmas they are not getting my Christmas Dollars this year. They need to get Holiday Dollars instead and I don't use those or say Happy Holidays so until the retailers can learn to celebrate Christmas and give our Christian Holiday some respect I will not be shopping in their stores. Keep the Christ in Christmas and don't break the tradition...Be pro active and check out this website or rate your stores also. Stand for Christmas.com. Have a blessed a...

"What we're talking about is the end of our way of life. They want to control you. That's not some wild conspiracy tale — they already control the banks, the auto industry, most mortgages in this country. They will have to ability to control the temperature inside your home with the passage of the cap-and-trade bill. And now they're trying to take control of one sixth of the U.S. economy — health care. They're talking about taking over the Internet in the name of "neutrality" — who asked them to? Where's the problem there? They are moving at the speed of light. We need to get up off of our couches and get into their offices. Call your senators; show up in their office — peacefully and politely, but get there! If we don't stop this now, Obama will succeed in his goal to "fundamentally tr...
