Why is the Success Rate Lower for New Realtors than in any other beginning profession?   It  is well documented that the rate of success for Realtors new to the business is very low.  Is it because real Estate has is cursed? Is it because there is a secret elite in the Real Estate community that control the local markets?   The answer is, of course, NO!  However, what is interesting about the Real Estate business is leveraging money and initial investments is of crucial importance. This is a graph for South San Francisco median home prices illustrating the home price trend for 2007 as compared to San Mateo County as a whole. It's certainly no shock to us that San Mateo County outperformed South San Francisco as a whole since San Mateo County is comprised of very affluent and stable markets such as Atherton, Hillsborough, Woodside and to a lesser degree Burlingame, Belmont etc.South San Francisco was hit harder by the mortgage crises and subsequent default fallout since so many of the homes sold there were sold to first time homeowner with 100% bank financed purchases.SALES• Sales are down 55% over this time last year.• The time it takes to sell a home is up 31% to just over 3 monthsAnd perhaps the most telling statistic is the current inventory levels which are up...

Easter is just around the corner and with that comes Easter Egg Hunts!  The first San Mateo County easter egg hunt takes place this coming weekend on Saturday, March 15th.  Head over to Orange memorial Park's Picnic Shelter on Orange Avenue in South San Francisco to take part.  It's the 61st Annual Easter Egg Hunt and children from pre-school to 3rd grade (8 years old) can take part.  It will take place rain or shine.  If your child is under 3, the Easter Bunny will hand out treats and easter eggs to them.  There will be more

SSF is a City of contrasts. It has two, distinctly different parts, residential stretched between hills of Westborough and Hwy 280 through the aging down town to Hwy 101. Across the Hwy 101 there is distinctly different industrial part with high office buildings hosting computer, software and biotech companies.
