~ Sonoma Bunny At Home ~ Wordless Wednesday I was showing a lovely historic Sonoma bungalow just doors from the Plaza when my client and I met this sweet little rabbit nibbling on the lawn.   We both thought immediately that the bunny was probably a stray.   The nearest neighbor is one of Sonoma's better restaurants where exotic menu offerings abound and, both animal lovers,  we were reluctant to call around.  So relieved were we to see this sign on the gate to the backyard.  We knew this delightful little critter was right where it belongs---safely at home!

Friends on Sonoma Plaza. On Sonoma Plaza....new friends and old (er) friends. My Sonoma real estate office is conveniently located at 109 East Napa Street just off our charming, inviting, and historic eight-acre Sonoma Plaza.  This picture reminds me of my childhood and the many times my grandfather Ernie Smith brought us here----to get us out of Grandmother's hair---to run around the lawns, visit the playground, and feed the ducks.  In those days the poor birds got crumbs of Wonderbread!  Today, I don't think we should feed them at all but the Sonoma ducks are a story I'll save for another day.

Last weekend we had a great weekend.  Saturday we spent the day with my friend Stephanie and Sunday, after lunch at one of our favorite Sonoma Restaurants Deuce, we walked to the Plaza to enjoy the 111th Annual Vintage Festival.  I heard this is the second oldest Festival in all of California.   Of course, there were all kinds of art, wine and food booths Good music too, by different bands and soloists.    There was a grape stomping contest. There was even a mini Mini show.   It was a beautiful day.  Enjoy the photos.

Locals and tourists flocked Sonoma to enjoy a weekend of art, wine, music and food in the Sonoma Plaza this weekend.  The 22nd annual Salute to the Arts was held in the Sonoma Plaza, offering artwork from local artists, wine tastings, live music, food booths and local chefs giving cooking demonstrations.  Salue to the Arts raises money for local non-profit art and sultural organizations and funds scholarships for graduating seniors.  As a local, I always enjoy these weekends for strolling through the Plaza, running into friends and soaking up the culture of Sonoma.  Good times.  Come and join me sometime!
