  Silverado Canyon is a peaceful, unincorporated community in Orange County and is considered a California Historical Landmark. The name Silverado comes from the fact that the canyons were once home to several silver mines.  This years South County's Hunger Walk will take place Sunday, October 5th. The 2 p.m. walk is 5K and will begin at the San Clemente Community Center. Family Assistance Ministries are signing up walkers and donors and hope to enlist 500 walkers and raise $75,000 for FAM.
