Dear Friends, Family & Clients, Independence Day better known as The Fourth of July has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941.  The tradition actually goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress voted for our nations independence.  Two days later a document drafted by Thomas Jefferson, Declaration of Independence, was signed by delegates from all 13 colonies. Dani & I are proud Americans and proud of America.  We welcome people from around the world and would them to enjoy our freedom and liberty.  Our only hope, prayer and expectation is for them to share our love and appreciation for our wonderful nation The United States of America. Family, Friends & Clients,There seems to be differing views of what is right or wrong when it comes to the real estate market.  Ask someone if they like rent control and the answer from home owners and investors is polar opposite from those that are not home owners.  Rent control makes owning an investment property a bad investment.  Take the career of a Realtor such as us.  We have no pension and could never survive on savings or social security so we have invested in rental properties as a way to secure our financial future.  Prices rise every year and the value of our homes go up with these increases.  Our income rises enough to cover increased taxes and maintenance fees.  If our investment properties were changed to rent control costs would continue to rise yet our income would decr...

Homes sales are slowing down for several reasons. Prime reason is lack of inventory, followed by rising interest rates and then homes being listed at a price above what a will buyer will pay. We are now seeing price reductions often in all areas of the Santa Clarita Valley. Home prices have risen significantly since the start of 2018 and with higher prices and interest rates the average days on market has continued to fall. The Median Price with all areas of the Santa Clarita Valley included stands at $544,425. The average days on market is about three weeks or less. Homes on average have had a price reduction at nearly $15,000 from their original list price.Summer Vacation for students in the Santa Clarita Valley is much shorter than is was a decade ago. School is set to begin on Augus...

Easter in on April 1, 2018.  This is the holiest day on the Christian calendar.  Most people would think Christmas was the holiest day for Christians.  Easter is to Christians the proof needed of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.  The Easter Egg and cracking it open symbolizes the opening of the tomb and the Resurection.  This came along in the 15th Century.  The Easter Bunny is said to represent new life.Easter Eggs were originally dyed red to symbolize the Blood of Christ.Easter is no a National Holiday although it is celebrated by many people of many religions.  Much like Christmas the traditions of giving out an Easter Basket, dying eggs, Easter Egg Hunt and getting together with loved ones is a common bond.  Both are Religious Holidays yet only Christmas is a National Holiday.Visit our...

North View Escrow Santa Clarita, CA What:  An Escrow company in Santa Clarita, CA that seems to care not one iota for - proper communication, follow up, timely delivery of documents and updates, at least based on a transaction we recently worked on "together". Who:  Craig McGuire, an escrow officer who actually acted as a road block to our real estate transaction, and made an otherwise good experience miserable.  Our buyer stated he was "over the top rude", she was "aghast at the way he spoke to [others]", and that in all of the escrows she's participated in (she's closed on her own homes AND closes escrows as part of her work) she's "never experienced someone this bad to deal with".  Personally, I've had a terrible experience with an escrow/attorney office before that rivaled this one,...

Dear Friends, Fanily & Clients,Halloween marks the beginning of the traditionally slowest real estate market of the year.  The slow season run through the holidays until near the end of January or up to mid-February.  This by no means indicates that it is not a good time to sell or buy a home, in fact, this could be the ideal time to be both or either. Finding a home at this time of year is beneficial to buyers as there is much less competition.  A seller may be more willing to compromise than at they might be at peak season.  This doesn't mean a buyer will necessarily make a steal but it does mean that the buyer is less likely to overpay due to multiple offers. A Seller will benefit due to the fact that there are very few lookie-loos out there checking out homes for fun.  A much larger...

Are you thinking of signing a lease rather than buying a home?Stop!Read this before signing on the dotted line!Times have changed and the fear of a 40% market crash have all but disappeared.  Fear of loss is outweighed by personal and financial benefits. Why did the real estate market crash in 2006? It was political and both parties were to blame.  Democrats felt as though home ownership was the right of all Americans and Republicans went along with the idea. The government forced banks and lending institutions to lend out money. Creative financing was created. First came Interest Only Loans. Then came Negative Amortized Financing. Then came "liar loan" with no verification of employment or income. Then came stated income loans. Financing for these creative financed loans was base upon a...

Dear Clients & Friends, Dani & I are proud to be Americans.  We can't imagine the amount of pain and suffering our fore fathers endured for our freedom.   I am a Vietnam Era Veteran and fought to keep America Free and to earn the right to stay in our wonderful nation.  I was in the lottery and drew number 66 out of 366.  Since then we have had an all volunteer military which is most often manned by many that are looking for a better life.  We should keep in mind that most of the affluent of us are not joining the military and not take war lightly.  People, our fellow Americans, are making the ultimate sacrifice in order to keep us free & safe.  Click Here for Fourth of July Fireworks Show, Event & Things to do in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles & Southern California  We appreciate the opport...

Fathers and Dads have two different rolls.  Fathers teach us right from wrong while dads prepare us for the future.  Fathers will make choices based upon a successful  future while dads will teach us how to enjoy life and grow into adulthood.  Both rolls are uniquely important to our success.  The lessons learned, knowledge shared and wisdom acquired by a Father/Dad will be most valuable for the rest of our lives and passed on to future generations.Father's Day Events June 18, 2017Santa Clarita, Los Angeles & Southern California   This is an incredible time to be selling a home in the Santa Clarita Valley!  Home prices have continued to rise as confidence in the American Dream of home ownership has risen.  Our newest and youngest home buyer the millennials are impacting the real estate ...

Times are changing for the better.  Los Angeles now has two NFL Football Teams, home prices are back to the peak of the market, interest rates are finally on the rise and home ownership it once again the American Dream for the citizens of our nation.  The news only gets better.  The stock market is on the rise and there is stability in the housing market.  All of the major banks are requiring good credit scores in order to secure their financing.  There are no longer a fear that lenders will be creative and allow an artificial bubble to be created.  Our youth are quite sensible and buying within their means.  Millennials, those born between 1982 - 2004 also called Generation Y, is the larger than the Baby Boomer Generation.  These smart, savvy and highly educated group represents the ne...
