San Juan Capistrano is a beautiful town with the historical San Juan Mission as it's focal point.  It is easily accessed by train from San Diego and makes for a fun day trip.  It also has two new communities that are being built.  The first is Rancho Madrina and the other is Pacifica at San Juan.  Each offer homebuyers something different.  Rancho Madrina is located next to the Marbella Country Club and some home buyers are offered golf course views.  Pacifica offers stunning ocean views from several of it's lots and will have a recreational pool available to it's residences.  It also offers many fine dining experiences from La Fondue ,which serves much more than cheese and chocolate, to the local favorite, Cedar Creek Inn. Whatever you might be looking for, you might want to consider ...

There's a beautiful stretch of highway that originates in San Juan Capistrano near the Old Mission known as the Ortega Highway.  It's actually the most direct route to get to Lake Elsinore and Temecula from South Orange County.  Just about a mile or two out this road and you are in the country.  Now that's a big deal here in So Cal.  Most people probably think that all we are is congested freeways.  That's not so.  We have congested country roads, too.  Yes, we do have our share of traffic here in California.  It's just one of the trade-offs for living in such a beautiful and dynamic area---lots of people want to live her.In fact, this two lane highway that stretches about 40 miles may be the most direct route, yet not necessarily the fastest route to the Inland Empire.   You see, there...

Today the old Mission at San Juan Capistrano was alive with color.  Even the water lillies were blooming.  The walls of the old mission in the background are a reminder of the huge mission that once stood here.  It was the hub of the City of San Juan Capistrano.  Th mission was established in 1776, in what is now one of California's oldest cities.  _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Marlene Bridges, REALTOR®  800 777-1775South Orange County Real Estate WebsiteOrange County Seniors Lifestyles BlogSRES - Seniors Real Estate Specialist® CRS-Certified Residential Specialist® President - Laguna Hills/Laguna Woods Chamber of Commerce Marlene is a highly experienced  South Orange County CA REALTOR...

As a recent transplant to Southern California, I have been taking in all the events and activities that I can to fully experience what this area has to offer. There is so much culture in South Orange County, and this is put on display during the local events. The Swallows Parade in San Juan Capistrano is an annual event dating back to the 1930's. The "Fiesta de las Golondrinas" started as a school carnival and has grown into the largest non-motorized parade in the U.S. The parade includes equestrians, western dancers, live music, a vendor faire and much more. The celebration of the return of the swallows dramatizes the diverse and interesting culture of San Juan Capistrano, the oldest community in Orange County. With its Western heritage and Spanish influence, the unique charm of the tow...
