 One of my favorite Sunday activities is hiking with my buddy Peroni. He keeps me active and insists on one big hike per week. We can hit some trails just blocks from my home, others we drive up to 30 minutes to get to the trail head. Today I will share Rose Canyon with you, one of my favorites.  Rose Canyon is in my neighborhood of UTC (University Towne Centre): University City 92122. We hike to this this trail head ina bout 20 minutes from my office parking lot, then take the 5.6 miles loop it creates from Lucera Condominiums (they have a trail head in their HOA) all the way to Gilman Ave. and then back again. Kissing Statue in San Diego  "Unconditional Surrender" or more affectionately and informally known as the Kissing Statue, is located at the marina in San Diego inthe  park adjacent to the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum along the Embarcadero. This 25 foot statue is actually one of several versions in other cities including NYC, originally conceived by Seward Johnson and based on an iconic photo of a sailor kissing a woman in a white dress on V-J Day, August 1945 (the day Japan surrendered, ending WW II). It was pretty cool to see when you read about the history, especially the location in front of the Midway Aircraft Carrier. For Sale by Owner in San DiegoSometimes San Diego homeowners decide to sell their home on their own and bypass a listing agent. This is when the homeowner sells their home without a real estate agent and takes on the real estate transaction without an agent representing them. From my experience I usually find that for sale by owners, as their called, are independent and tough minded individuals who think they can do it without an agent. They’re usually people who have a “can do” or “I can do this” attitude and they’ve in many cases done a lot in life on their own without the help of professionals.
