Orange County Prices Are Up 19.7 Percent in September Wow, this is a quite the report on Orange County put out by the California Association of Realtors which shows year over year for September an increased of 19.7 percent on single family homes.  I know that something positive must be happening to get those type of numbers.  Many thought due to a 2 week slow down something was wrong and going to roll back.  Not so look at the market report today and we continue to go up.

Re-blogged by 0 agents I Was Suprised   Last week I wrote that I thought that rates were up due to the government shut down.  I also indicated that I thought the interest rates would go down when the government opened again.    I was wrong.  UGH I did not think they would go up and they did.  Not to a large extent but there I was exposed and wrong.    Rates are still very good but getting higher each week.

Mortgage Rates Up I do find it interesting that the numbers you see below at 4.22 was from the this last weekend and they jumped up with the threat of a default on behalf of the Federal Government.  I hope they fall back. What's Up With Trulia?   Today I saw an article in the Orange County Register that is talking of a recent report from Trulia.  Trulia a site that relies on our listings and sales to get the info out to the the public.  They also will take our listings and sell the buyers that are attracted to their site back to other agents or back to us if we so choose.  The positive growth of 23 percent July 2012 to July 2013 was seen by Trulia as a negative.  In fact they state that therefore our market is 12 percent overvalued.  Really!  Orange County and South Orange County specifically is a destination place for a lot of home buyers.  It is a destination because of the weather the beauty of the hills and the vistas and the planned cities et al...  They actually called us the most overvalued area i...
