Located in the highly desired Mt. Carmel neighborhood of Redwood City, across from lovely Our Lady of Mount Carmel school, 330 Grand Street closed escrow on the first business day of 2018.In vintage condition, we marketed this home to builders and agents who work with builders, knowing it would be razed. It sold just days after notices went out about the opportunity, to an all-cash buyer, with no contingencies and terms to make life easy for the sellers. Seller wanted no open houses and was delighted to sell off market. Whether a tear-down, completely remodeled, or anywhere in between, we design strategies to meet your needs.Call for your free, no-obligation consultation

This morning I woke up early. Sleep was elusive so I started my day at 4:30 instead of 5:30, using that extra hour to read, respond to emails and do some small tasks in the kitchen. A short drive then took me to a city park where I could change into "Realtor duds" and comb my hair in a bathroom; now I was ready for my first business appointment of the day: showing my lease listing to a potential renter. Next stop: a 10:00 AM meeting at my clients' house in Redwood City that will be coming on the market at the end of the month. I believe we owe it to Pottery Barn for the revival in interest in classic architecture such as Craftsman style.  We don't have a lot of them along the peninsula, but probably one of the highest concentrations of them is in the Mt. It is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is about 1,720sf on about a 7,000sf lot. One of the first great features to greet you is the beautiful porch that looks back out to the trees and homes up a knoll to the west. Once inside you immediately see some of the great Craftsman traits of this home... coved ceilings t...

Tuesday is the realtors' board tour day on the San Francisco Bay Peninsula in San Mateo County.   There seemed to be more new listings today than on last week's tour, and many of the properties were well priced.    At the Top of the Tour is 1936 Whipple Avenue, Redwood City, MLS#81054242. a beautiful, newly constructed, Tuscan style home in Redwood City, priced at $1,840,000.  This property offers plenty of bells and whistles and a well laid out floor plan.  Situated in the Mount Carmel/Edgewood Park neighborhoods, this home offers 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and, according to the MLS, is approximately 3780 square feet on about an 8548 square foot lot. To learn more about the property, contact the listing agent Peter Vece at Dumas and Company or go to Wendebythe Bay.com.
