I have a good friend in life and in Business. We have both been working hard and would like to go and play. No play for us for a while. We have much to do....helping some sweet First Time Home Buyers that are on fire with determination. It is needed in this very agressive market right now. So we are on the phone a lot and running around to see each and every house that might do....we will be successful. Lots of phone calls. This might be my fav part of real estate. I created a full blown Webinar today for our HUD trainings. We are about to send out our monthly email blast for the training that will now include a webinar version...Yeah! David is still parsing the email for the latest updated email list. Maybe tomorrow we can do the email blast. We now have 2 or our 3 short sales approved...

Redding CA - Lake Redding Park - Where the Train Trestle Tracks Go - Don't You Just Love Them--Located along the Sacramento River is Lake Redding Park. It is right next to Caldwell Park which a Blog about often. We go here. There is a picturesque foot bridge (my next photo project) and of course the River which affords many photo ops. Also along here are the railroad trestle tracks and I can't resist them. I'm always snapping a shot or two. Enjoy! This is a Gazebo next to the River for Groups to plan parties and picknics. I love the Trestle in the background. Wow! Look at this big boy. It is really cool when the train goes by! Look up and looking out, it all about Trains in the Sky. This is the foot bridge that use to be for autos. It now is for bike riders and skaters. People like walk...

It's hip, it's delicious and it's different! When was the last time you ate at a restaurant and was told to "pay as you can"? For me, never. Until I visited The Savory Spoon that is. Ann Webber, owner of The Savory Spoon believes in giving back to the community, so she establishes "Community Day Mondays" offering patrons their choice of any item from their limited community day menu (I must say it's far from limited, it's a generous list) and pay as they are able...how's that for having a big heart for the community and how timely! The Savory Spoon, one of Redding's newest restaurants opened its doors to the Redding community this past November 2011 serving a variety of comfort food dishes with a natural twist to it! Their motto...REAL FOOD, REAL PEOPLE, REAL COMMUNITY fits them appropr...

Sell your property "as is" - Redding Ca   Is it possible for a home owner to sell their house "as is"? And what does "as is" really mean?     "As is" means exactly that, as it sits where it stands, what you see; and what you don't see! is what you get.   In a nutshell the current owner will not repair any damages that are obvious, or clean, or paint or fix anything. Seen or unseen.       The homeowner will still be required to disclose any defects in the property, such as, but not limited to; unpermitted work, repairs made on the house, or damages that currently exist.   If you are selling your home “as is” simply discloses any defects in the building before selling. This is where a real estate agent will help you with all the numerous disclosures the potential buyer will want to see.  ...

Redding Real Estate - Short Sale Agent - Lenders Primed for Short Sales in 2012 Short sales are a good option for homeowners struggling with unaffordable mortgage payments. In fact, lenders’ losses due to foreclosure are projected to increase at record rates in 2012, giving them more reason to pursue short sales. Lenders are projected to incur losses as severe as 85 percent in foreclosure! Meaning, after deducting the expense of the foreclosure process on a $100,000 loan, they may only get back $15,000! It’s common sense that lenders will be looking toward the short sale solution. Even though they are accepting less than is owed on the property, they lose far less than in a foreclosure sale. It may be a surprise to many that lenders actually want to work out a solution that benefits all...

I have always been a visual person. I love certain colors that draw me and entertain me. I love beauty and the visual aesthetic quality of presenting things well. There is a flow to the art of presentation that will keep the eye moving and finds the heart and mind feeling satiated. When things are not so placed there is a war going on within the mind to analyze and find the flaw. When we have achieved that beautiful balance of placement, color, texture and flow, the mind joins with the heart to enjoy and experience that "aha moment". Photography is of great value in real estate. It provides the opportunity to help our Reader learn more about our local community. We can use it to help the Reader find that "aha moment" in our work and to come to appreciate our presentations. It works well...

Is It Cheaper to Rent or Own a Home in Redding Ca ?  One of the many factors in deciding whether or not to buy a home is whether it costs money more to own a home than it does to rent in Redding Ca. It is a very individual situation that varies from person to person and family to family. Whether you prefer West Redding and the Grant School District or East Redding to be close to Bethel Church.  This guide will make it easier to decide on several different levels that you can compare in the costs of renting vs. owning. The first step will be to compare your total rent including renters insurance, if you have it, against the cost of a mortgage payment and taxes and insurances on your new property. And now the new home owner has to add on the expense of maintenance depending on if you are ...

FIELD THEORY--I often write about the unified field of physics. I put most people to sleep with it but for me it remains and always will be a fascinating topic. The emergent qualities of the field are always manifesting and moving to create some new and wonderful dynamic that will improve the whole of the field. There exists many small tangents that are trying to manifest into that next large emergence of where Nature will go and how it will evolve. ACTIVERAIN COMMUNITY--And so communities can be represented in much the same way. If you choose to look at ActiveRain as the field of emerging tangents of improvement to the field of Real Estate, we are often one of the small tangents that will form and manifest into the next breakthrough element that changes the field. Whether it is techno...

Don't you just love it all....life that is. I love the things of the past and the way it made us who we are and I love living in the present moment and enjoying it all! I also love knowing that how I am living in the present moment is also creating how things will be as I walk through that doorway to the future and new things. Two dear friends showed up in the RAIN recently and I am so happy to see them. One has been away for a while and the other for a few months. It made me smile to see them in my subscribed blog roll. We have journeys to take and things to do but it is so nice meeting back here in the RAIN and catching up. It is a good day for remembering things of the past and enjoying the present that will lead to tomorrow. I am happy for the day.   Loving My ActiveRain Friends - J...

Well we have a skinny puppy now. Ginger, our Golden Retriever is quite the hand full when it comes to giving her a haircut. It takes both David and myself to do the job and when we are done...we are all done in. The three of us are completely exhausted and need 24 hours to recover. We have grown tired of the ordeal....all of us. As we have had a heavy load with the HUD work lately, we finally gave in and took her to the Groomers for a bath, haircut and nail trim. We were horribly lonely while she was gone and both felt like there was a hole in our Universe. We called twice to make sure that everything was going well. We picked her up and felt so thankful to have a clean puppy and to have her back with us once again. She seemed to be okay but the next day was somewhat depressed. She has ...

Most fishermen often go on the weekends, happy to encounter a fish or during a holiday fishing adventure with their family and friends. ...he would astound me with words that weren't only beyond his years, or beyond mine, but were beyond anyones's--beyond the kind of time that ticks away in this green and gray world. Most kids have a special stuffed animal, ratty blanket or dog-eared book they take to sleep with them--and a lot of kids, lacking this talisman, go berserk and scream themselves to sleep. Bill Bob had no one special talisman: Bill Bob had dreefees. None of us ever quite figured out the etymology of that word, but when I asked him years later Bill Bob thought it might be an amalgamation of "dream" and "feed"--food for dreams you might say. The dreefee itself was always some carefully selected relic of the day's adventures, so he had a different dreefee every night. And every bit as important as the dreefee w...

I started working with video at least 3-4 years ago. I have learned so much here in ActiveRain and this would be the same when it comes to video. Shortly have I joined, ActiveRain introduced Mixpo, a web-browser production solution for video. It made video production so much easier and I embraced it. We had tried many different ways to produce video and finally realized that you needed a full-blown Mac and "Final Cut Pro" (video production software for the Mac) in order to be effective at video production. You also needed a great voice and a "Hollywood" persona to go along with it. We had someone back then who was producing video for real estate agents. Fred Light (he has not posted since 2010). He was using a Sony video-cam tape system and after speaking with him we bought the video ca...
