I love this new world we live in. We can play with the big guys. I never liked not being able to play. When I was a young girl, I use to hang out watching the boys in my neighborhood play baseball. Once in a while they'd ask me to retrieve a ball. I started bringing my Dad's old baseball mit and when it went over the fence, I started catching them. Pretty soon they put me in the outfield. Today is Monday and I need to have a little bit of fun after working all weekend. So there are many things I should be doing, however I am playing with Gimp instead and playing around with Collage Art. It really is Photo Art and similar to what David does. David, however has the big bucks and the equipment to go with it. He has at least 6 Macs that he works on and a Windows machine that he has for real estate. He is like Mr. Guru with Photoshop. I am stuck on an old Windows machine and using Gimp which is Open Source and free. But hey....it works for me and I'm having just as much fun as he is. Whining is always good for the soul! Had a busy week this week. I usually post some of David's work on Fridays but did not have time this week to get the task done. After last week, we are changing our process a bit. David has two sets of names which I never realized. He has the name by which he searches to find the photo and then the name that goes with the photo as displayed for sale. So we had a little bit of an interesting time with last week's post. I had been using the "searchable" names and we now realize that we should be using the "display" names. We are coming to an end of the 5 year ARMS and "pick-a-pay" mortgages. 2012 should be close to the end of the large number of loans originated in these programs. As we all know there is a hypothetical grey inventory of homes that have not yet hit the REO market. I do believe that they exist. I have seen the homes that have been foreclosed on and remain sitting vacant for 1-2 years without ever coming back on the market. So while we see those active foreclosures come on the market, we have yet to see that grey inventory of REOs be absorbed into the market. That may go on for some years. The vacant homes that sit on the market for years are a mystery or are they? I had an interesting observation yesterday related to a post that I put out about David's Photo Art. Now this is rather a leap but bare with me. We all understand the Ying and Yang principal, yes...well maybe. It comes under other names. Silence and Dynamism. Shiva and Shakti. One term emerged to help with the concept comparing women to Venus and Men to Mars. Maharish Mahesh Yogi, a long time teacher and Guru to David and myself, made several comments on the subject. He said that men and women are so different that they may as well be different species and the fact that they ever manage to procreate is a miracle beyond explaining. We have a HUD listing in Weed CA and we were up there at the crack of dawn to get our work done and get back to town so that we could do our normal daily work. We now take our Golden Retriever, Ginger with us because we don't like leaving her all the time and because we can. So we have to make sure that there is some fun thing with Ginger on each trip. This time it was Carrick Park which is right by our listing. It is a beautiful little park and GiGi now knows it well. We got up early this morning around 4:00 am to prepare and get an early start for Weed, CA. It is about hour and 15 minute drive. We have a new HUD listing there and we were doing the final inspection prior to listing. It will go on the MLS tomorrow morning. It's nice to be out early and enjoy the cool morning air. We put the sun roof back and just chill for the ride. Ginger, the HUD puppy goes with us and we enjoyed our trip.
