Youth ProgramsA "drop-in" recreation program for Placentia youth is offered at the Gomez Community Center, 1701 Atwood; Whitten Community Center at 900 S. Melrose; and Koch Park Community Center at 2210 North Valencia Ave. throughout the year. Koch Park Center is only open during the summer.While at the center, children ages 5-15 are supervised by trained recreation leaders certified in First Aid and CPR. Activities offered include sports, games, arts & crafts, homework assistance, special events, and excursions. There is no charge for the basic program; however, a fee may be charged for trips and special events.This is not a daycare program.
