Palo Alto Weather Palo Alto, California is a beautiful place to live.  It is filled with a mild climate and many blue sky days with beautiful white puffy clouds. The weather averages around 58 degrees through the year and the high's are typically in the high 80's during the HOT months.  The summer seems short compared to may other parts of the United States.  It gets warm around July and will stay warm until October.  Of course warm is really around the mid-70's.  The area is on what is called the 'Peninsula', which is the western side of the South San Francisco Bay. The inland areas, closer to the East Bay and further east experience very hot temperatures during the summer months.  We hear about the heat from areas like Pleasanton, Livermore and Tracy.  Further south, towards Gilroy; ...

Robert Swetz thinks Mark Zuckerberg & Facebook are OK in his eyes ...  Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob came across some nasty posts and comments about Mark Zuckerberg loaded on Facebook. So I started to think for a minute, Mark is not running for the Presidency or Political position.Mark Zuckerberg is a highly intelligent person that created an idea that made him a billionaire. Now I may not totally agree on the Facebook network and or not like everything about it, but I can choose to have accounts on Facebook or I can choose not to.I really don't like the connection of the FBI and or United States Governments part of Facebook and or privacy issues, but it's our choice to be a part of Facebook.  All in all I think Mark Zuckerberg has done some great work for charities across the work, along...

Palo Alto had the most number of professionals with attorneys, physicians and academic professionals who had full employment. The number of home owners who bought the properties with cash or have no mortgage did not prompt to any sizable home value loss. Its price erosion stayed 15 months. The unemployment rate in PA was ½ of other cities in the south Bay at 7% and recovered in Q2 2010. By mid-2015 it remained at 2.4%.  PALO ALTO SINGLE FAMILY HOMEs   1200-2000 sf 3 br, 2 bath+   Months downturn   $/sf AVG sold $ during Great Recession 10 yr price change 206% 204%   15 months         1,697 homes 5 years 195% 192%                   3 years 159% 157%                   last yr   -2015 115% 113%                   baseline           2005 $761/sf $1.216M       2015 $1,565/sf $2.482M        Du...

Getting an annual home value report from a trusted real estate professional is a good habit to build, especially in a changing market.  And markets do change daily, so an annual report would be something to do if you are not planning for ten years or more.  Of course, if you are considering moving in less than ten years, it would be highly recommended to receive quarterly market reports; and consider monthly reports if you are thinking of moving in the next twenty-four months.  If you would like a personalized report, please use the form above and we will get one to you asap.  Call 650-382-2880 for a private consultation.

As some of you know, I've been laid up this past week after emergency surgery in Mexico.Today was my first day behind the wheel, and I planned my journey from San Francisco to Palo Alto to avoid the worst of the traffic. I happily turned the corner on a residential street in Palo Alto, anticipating the beauty I'd see -- I wasn't disappointed. Even through a less-than-sparkling-clean windshield, you can see why I look forward to coming to my clients' house.

It's my favorite season of the year. October's weather is still warm but the air feels chilly and crisp in the morning and evening. The tree leaves are turning the most fantastic orange, red and yellow color. With all the pumpkin items filling up the shelves at Trader Joe's, you know Halloween is just around the corner. In addition to all the fun pumpkin patches you can visit, there are many Palo Alto Halloween activities you can attend. I have compiled a list of Palo Alto Halloween activities below for you and your little ones to enjoy. I hope you find it helpful! Gamble Garden's Halloween FestivitiesOctober 25, 10:30am to noonGamble Garden's Halloween festivities will include a pumpkin patch, a costume contest (everyone wins), candy, a witch's brew drink, and a magic show and jokes by...

As you can imagine, playing in the street for dogs is not an option, no matter how cute they look.  So what's a dog to do when it is time to play and a leash won't do?  Well, if you are in Palo Alto, CA, you have a few choices on where you can romp, leash free. Of all the Palo Alto Dog Parks, our favorite is Hoover Dog Park located in Midtown, Palo Alto.  The best thing about Hoover Dog Park is that the fenced off-leash area is in the shade.  There are benches so dog-parents can sit while their dogs meet, greet and make friends with other local dogs.  Dante and Quattro have made several friends both in the off-leash area and when walking to the fenced dog park at the park. To become more familiar with the Palo Alto Dog Parks, here is a map:  Looking forward to seeing you at one of the ...
