Did you know that if you pay off an old account that is in collections, it will damage your credit even more? You see, when it went into collections the first time it lowered your score. But over time your score would eventually go back up. But, if you pay any money toward that account, even if it's only a dollar, it makes the account current again. So it will knock your credit score again. So that makes two hits on your score for just one account. Does that mean I suggest never paying the debt off? No, not at all. If you do have the money to pay it off, tell the collection agency you will do it under the condition that all negative remarks about the account will be removed from your credit report. And get this in writing!! If you don't get it in writing they will probably leave it on ...

Real Estate Trends for Palmdale, Lancaster and the Greater Antelope Valley August 5 2009 The Greater Antelope Valley could be entering a crisis as the available Single Family Res  has drop under 800 units (according to the local MLS) and appears to be in free fall.  With today data-check we have only 773 Single Family homes for sale in the greater Antelope Valley. Prices are on the rise is most areas, with offers above the listing price, furthermore it is very likely to have multiple offers, 15 to 40 is not uncommon.  If we don’t see a jump in available homes for sale we might see a pricing spike that will not be reflected by appraisers, thus killing deals. Real Estate Trends for Palmdale, Lancaster and the Greater Antelope Valley August 4 2009 July 2009, is in the bank, literally speaking…  The banks are holding back foreclosed home; you bet'ya.  Some of the number we have heard are in the hundreds of thousands nationally.  The Antelope Valley is approximately 33% of the Los Angeles market so we are expecting to see 2,500 to 4,000 at some point… but don't hold you breath. Real Estate Trends for Palmdale, Lancaster and the Greater Antelope Valley July 16 2009 As reported there is a 6.4% increase in prices in the resale for June 2009.  This spike we believe is due to the non-release of over 1,000,000 foreclosures the banks are holding.  Why are the bank holding on we can only speculate, government involvement? Banks are waiting for prices to push up?
