Palmdale files suet against high-speed rail authority regarding Grapevine study.  Palmdale city officials made good on its threat to sue the High-Speed Rail Authority of California regarding an abstract study which route would be better Grapevine or through the Antelope Valley. The city's lawsuit contests that the rail authority cannot redirect federal grant money ($700,000) and state bond money to re-examine an earlier announced decision to build through Antelope Valley.  In an earlier study the Rail authority board members had abandoned the Grapevine route in 2005 after determining that it had too many engineering issues to overcome.  However lately engineers working for the rail autho... 07/08/2011

Showing home in a heat wave with temps in triple digits can make for a long hot day.  As we enter into the first 3 day weekend of the summer buyers are coming up to the high desert for the sun and fun we have to offer.  Make sure you bring water and you A/C is working.    For sellers turn on you A/C for potential buyers, nothing makes a hot buyer happier than entering your beautiful home with the air on.  If you have a pool keep it clean and sparkling, it could make the difference in making an offer or pass by.  We have found buyers do indeed look at home on three day week ends, at lest Saturday and Sunday, Monday not so much.  So have a great 4th of July and keep it safe!      Janet O'Br... 07/01/2011

The 4th of July is fast approaching and the City of Palmdale working with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department will be out in force this 4th of July enforce the use of illegal fireworks in Palmdale. Palmdale only allows Safe and Sane fireworks can only be used starting, noon on June 28 through noon on July 5. Remember fireworks, that become airborne or explodes are illegal anywhere in the City of Palmdale. The summer is here and it’s a cooker, however with school out and great deals in real estate buyer are making an appearance albeit smaller then is recent years.  The Antelope Valley is well above the 2007 summer from hell but we are seeing some apprehension. Well if you have been hearing the real estate news this morning the bears are out in force.
