33rd Annual Ocean Beach (San Diego) Street Fair is Today 6/23/12 Here is a local Do Not Miss San Diego tradition, the 33rd annual Ocean Beach (OB) Street Fair and Chili Cook-off!  What started in 1979 as a small community chili cook-off has grown into a huge, fun event with Six Stages full of great music, an Artist's Alley, Beachside Beer Garden and Liquorland and much  more.  The event, which is expected to draw 70,000 people, runs from 10AM to 8PM.  Many of the main events will be right by the pier, beach and Newport Ave.  As you can imagine, parking will be challenging and locals (Obecians and Point Lomans) are encouraged to ride their bikes.  There will even be a Bike Valet on Bacon Street in front of Winstons.  Old Town Trolley is providing free shuttles to the event, pick-up point...

More Than One Third of Homes Sold In Mission Valley, California Are Cash Sales. Ocean Beach, California and Golden Hill, California were among the bright spots in single family resale prices when comparing 2011, with 2010. The median price in Ocean Beach last year ended at $715,000 up almost 6 percent from the prior year. Golden Hill saw a 3.5 percent bump in 2011, taking it to $207,000. Tierrasanta had one of the largest jumps in condo sales last year, but the area saw one of the larges dips in condo prices. Values fell from $342,000 in 2010 to $250,000 in 2011.or a drop of 27 percent. Mission Valley condo prices also take a big hit, sliding 22 percent to $200,000. Ocean Beach Sunset What causes all the colors in a Sunset ? As the sun was dropping from view, I wondered where these colors come from and I decided to look it up and I found the answer. And it is a bit complicated but in a nutshell, here is what I found. It is caused by the earth shadow. I thought that you might want to read the more complete answer so I have added the link here. I took this photo from the furthest point of the Ocean Beach Pier which is the longest pier on the West Coast.

  As an  active full time San Diego, CA Real Estate Agent, I want to point out how a buy now or later decision effects some but not all.  Many people are moving in to the area, marrying/divorcing/expanding their family, etc and they may need to buy now regardless of what may be happening in the market.  For those that are contemplating but don't have a specific requirement, it's a question of trying to time the market similar to the stock market.  The problem with that is, the general public info lags behind on both up and down swings.  For example, previous market reports I posted, 6 weeks ago have changed.  It was slower than average as was April but Jun & early July have picked up steam again in the San Diego.  Builders have burned off some of the new home inventory that was buildin...
