It's not surprising that Newport Beach CA Home selling prices are up during start of 2014.   People love Newport Beach where homes are some of the most popular for buyers in this city famous for residential living and investment. 79 Newport Beach homes have sold during first 55 days of 2014 - time ending February 25, 2014.  Average sold price for those was $1,665,068 - and average time on market for those sold homes was 90 days. 83 Newport Beach homes sold during same time last year - first 55 days of 2013.  Average sold price was $1,284,704.  Average time on market for those sold homes was 121 days. Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade - 2013       The 105th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will take place from Wednesday, December 18, 2013 to Sunday, December 22, 2013. This year's theme will be Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree.   This is an amazing display of Christmas spirit every year, and is something that my family and I have done since I was a child. Today, I am blessed to be able to share if with my own children as we ooh and ahh at the beautiful lights and decorations that travel through the Newport Harbor each December.     The parade begins each evening at 6:30 pm just off of Bay Island, and takes approximately 2 and 1/2 hours from beginning to end.   Wordless Wednesday - Sunset on Newport Beach, CA          Winter brings a bit of an ocean chill, and a few clouds along with it.  What it also brings are clear skies and amazing sunsets.  In the distance, Catalina Island is easily visible during the winter months, and sunsets involving a few clouds are often the most stunning.  On this particular day, the water was warmer than the air, so it was nice to roll up the pants and stand knee-deep in the Pacific.      This is my first winter on the west coast, and it's been a pleasant surprise being able to enjoy the water this late into the year.  Most hours of the day the beaches are near empty, making it a peaceful & relaxing way to wind down the end of a busy day.   12/11/2013
