Napa downtown, Napa Valley's new hot spot for food and things to do Over the last three years, downtown Napa has become the place to go for food, things to do, to be seen. There are just too many thins to do to list them all in one post so I have decided to do a series. Just how many, I don't know right now but I guess four or five. For about forty years, downtown Napa was dead.   Last month my husband and I started a journey which ended up in California. We went to Los Angeles first and met up with family at a great restaurant, but I will save that for another blog.         We ended up in Napa over the Memorial Day weekend. We got there late Saturday due to terrible traffic. We hit one winery that we had been to before and split a tasting. We had been to Napa in 2010 but just hit two wineries that we were members off and left. The last time we had been to Napa was in 2005 boy has it changed and not necessarily for the better; we found out that you have to buy many bottles of wine to get the wine tasting fee waived not the old Napa where if you bought one bottle the tasting was waived.
