While many are braving the frantic crush of humanity in shops and malls to complete their Christmas shopping, the California real estate market continues to roll along almost unnoticed.  It’s always been said that the holidays are a bad time to try to buy or sell a home.  But as I drove through Napa Valley today looking at new homes and land just on the market, I considered the numbers I saw on the MLS this morning regarding this area: ·         14 homes have closed escrow since Thanksgiving Day ·         45 homes have come on the market in the past 10 days (14 REO’s) There are 12 new homes on the market just since yesterday.  How many of these will sell by the end of the year?  No way to tell, but I’ll be sharing those numbers soon after the New Year.
