We do not get many signs it is Autumn in Mountain View, CA but I think this provides proof we get some I walked down to Castro Street (our downtown area) in Mountain View, CA the other night with my son and I saw this beautiful tree in full color.   We don't have many trees around here that change colors so it is a treat when you see one.  Autumn is my favorite season and we do not get many reminders of Autumn in CA so I really cherish the few signs of the season I do see.

San Jose RainCamp: Great venue, Great material, Great weather!! Today's RainCamp in San Jose is great!  Ben Kinney, as usual, has given us LOTS of inside scoop on the REAL on how to focus on increasing your sales through internet related strategies. The picture you see here is with Ben and an attendee doing a mock listing appointment. I've met quite a few friends that I've come to know online, but had the opportunity to meet them in person such as Lottie Kendall and Chris Alston. I love Ben's explanation of the simple Circle drawing / notepad versus doing a long, extensive listing presentations and the success rate of doing this approach Plus it was another opportunity for me to see Kerrie Greenhalgh again. She is so outstanding with her support of all of our members.  If you ever need ...

San Jose Raincamp...........Be There or Be Round............. RainCamp is on Monday.  It's actually in the Mountainview area of San Jose. Lots of good speakers and great information, hints, tips, tools, etc. Ben Kinney will be there with some good internet info. I love harassing him after the seminar or during the breaks. I don't think he still knows me from Adam yet, but it is sort of fun giving him a poke about his Rock-Star status. If you're on the fence about going, here's a link to register at a promotional donation-based, pay-what-you-can  discount: https://activerain.com/raincamp?prm=kerrielil There will surely be some fresh information for people to take home and plug in to their machines. The coolest part of RainCamp is meeting those people you have become cyber-friends with, f...

Finally!  I was able to find the video of the interview with Mark Zuckerberg over at the Computer History Museum http://www.computerhistory.org/.  From some of my previous posts about this video, I am curious as to what you think about the actual interview as well. When watching, tell me what you think about the Author to his left, and the guy from NPR on the right.  I really enjoyed Mark, but was very disappointed with the two that were with him Part 1 of 2 (my blog about the interview) ß This is my first post, check it out.  Part 2 of 2 (My blog about the interview) ß This is my second post I hope you enjoy! Part 2 of 2.  Click here for part one --> http://activerain.com/blogsview/1759674/an-evening-with-mark-zuckerberg-founder-of-facebook-notes-from-his-talk-in-mountain-view-ca-last-night-part-1-of-2   I found Mark fascinating.  A normal guy, doing a normal job...  As we all have learned in our careers, we have to continue to strive to be better and better.  Every year striving to do more, earn more, and seek more success.  If we become mediocre, then the only direction we to go is down...  So it would seem Mark is always striving to be better.  It seems that there are many people around us that seem to be OK with Mediocrity.  Feeling that they should be rewarded just for time spent on a particular thing.  That unfortunately is not true, as if we do not try to innovate the world will find ...

It was great to see Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook speak last night.  He was the guest speaker at the Computer History Museum, and was interviewed by David Kirkpatrick (Author, The Facebook Effect) and Guy Raz (a weekend host on NPR).  Diane Sawyer was also in attendance.  I was able to score a 5th row seat, and perfect view.  Not to mention, that there was lots of food and strawberry lemonade before the event.  I think I was the ONLY person in real estate there.  I sat next to some ladies, and of course, said hi.  It was strange to be around so many people that were not in real estate, and no one was really networking.  Most were gorging themselves with the free food, some were nose deep in their iPhones or Droids, pretending to be doing something, so that no one would wonde...

I was at an awesome event in Mt. View CA last night, where the featured speaker was Mark Zuckerberg.  I am writing a blog post on the actual event, but am limited on time today.  So I thought I would share some pics from the event. Mark was great in the interview.  David Kirkpatrick and Guy Raz left a lot to be desired.  More to come tomorrow about what he talked about!  Diane Sawyer was in attendence as well.

On average in June, townhomes/condos sold for $1,970 less than the asking price. If you want to know more about the real estate market in Mountain View...

In June 2010, 43 homes were sold in Mountain View, CA.  The highest priced home sold in Mountain View, CA sold for 1.452M at 102K over asking price.  The lowest priced home sold for 399K and it sold for asking price. The average number of days on market in June 2010 in Mountain View, CA were 26.64 when I did not include a home that was on the market for 687 days.  If I include that home the average days on market is 42 days.  As someone who was once trained to be a statistician I removed the outlier because I knew it would skew what the real picture of the number of days homes were on the market in June in Mountain View, CA.  I know that  a computer generated report does not account for these kind of anomalies, but I actually look at the numbers before I do the analysis!   For the list ...
