I was in a bit of a funky mood today and I couldn't figure it out.  I posted on Active Rain for the first time in over three years; I was trying to drop a backlink for a post on my San Diego mortgage blog.  Bob Stewart reached out to me, over the summer, and invited me to start posting here again but I waited until today.  Why?Laurie Manny, of Long Beach real estate fame, my dear friend, died four years ago today.  Maybe her spirit drew me back here.  Laurie was one of the original Active Rain bloggers and, along with Rich Jacobson, one of the first volunteer moderators on the network.Rather than give you a lot of stories about Laurie (there were plenty of them--she was a pistol). I"ll share an interview I did with her back in 2008:
