Hickory Dickory Dock The mouse ran up the clock The clock struck one The mouse ran down Hickory Dickory Dock   I was talking the other day to a friend who lives in England. He volunteered that his family wouldn't be watching the Royal Wedding as they were going to be out of town. He is an amateur photographer in his spare time, takes great images and shares them with me. This is the original clock in Exeter Cathedral that the nursery rhyme was written about. There is an old door to the room (before it was electrified) that houses the clock. Back then they used animal fat to grease the clockworks and that attracted mice. They had a cat on the premise that got paid 1 penny in food when on duty to catch mice. He had his own entrance at the bottom of the door. I wonder if my cat will get a ... 05/03/2011
