Short sales are on the rise in Ladera Ranch with not much relief in site for homesellers.  Buyers are not as quick to act on these sales as they were several months ago, as they have found them to be a frustrating problem and for the most part end up moving into another home purchase.  Buyer's agents have been directing their clients away from such purchases for one main reason, which is that it causes tremendous vulnerability to the buyer.  A huge percentage do not close because once credit is ruined for the seller, many sellers decide to move into bankruptcy proceedings in an effort to stay in the home for many more months without having to pay for their occupancy. I have attended this event in the past and it was alot of fun. This year's Taste of Ladera will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Town Green, (Sienna Pkwy/Mercantile Way) Activities will include face-painting, crafts and a dunk tank. Numerous local restaurants will be there, Entertainment will feature Hollywood U2, a U2 cover band. Cost is $3 per taste at various booths.
