But it’s all relative, and still a shock for the system! Sunday January 1st is the date for the annual La Jolla Cove Swim Club Polar Bear Plunge, accompanied by chili (suggested), soup and perhaps other warm foods as a complement, with cider and coffee to be provided.  The polar bear plunge is held at Kellogg Park in La Jolla Shores to the north of La Jolla Cove, and is for La Jolla Cove Swim Club (LJCSC) members only.
