Holiday Cactus and Bougainvillea  Holiday decorating here in Southern California is noticeably different than what I was used to back in New England. We spent New Years weekend with a good friend in the California Desert back in 2012, and when walking around the neighborhood we spied this holiday cactus. Indian Palms Country Club Located off Monroe Street and 48th Avenue, Indian Palms Country Club is one of the Coachella Valley's first country clubs, opening in 1948.
