There are many issues concerning real estate right now that could have a negative impact on home ownership. We are all aware that US government officials are BIG spenders and have a difficult time trying to get their budgets under control. While this may be a near impossible feat for them they are considering cutting certain incentives so valuable to home ownership. One of them is the possibility of reducing or eliminating the mortgage interest deduction. See my previous blog http://actvra.in/j67.     What can you do?   Broker Involvement Program Are you a broker owner or managing broker? Are you involved with NAR's Broker Involvement Program? How Do I Start a Short Sale In Huntington Beach CA One of the toughest decisions facing homeowners in Huntington Beach these days is whether or not to do a short sale. Most homeowners don’t understand the process, but what’s even scarier is that most real estates don’t either. Many agents tend to shy away from short sales because they don’t understand how they work. #1 – SELECT THE RIGHT AGENT Like all other professions, real estate agents are not created equally! A Huntington Beach short sale is a very complicated and arduous type of transaction, and most agents just don’t not where to begin. As a seller, YOU MUST SELECT YOUR AGENT CAREFULLY! Choose an agent that is familiar with the process and who has successfully completed at least a couple of short sales preferably with multiple le...

It's almost that time for kids to go back to school. There are many things to think about as this time nears. For me it's not so complicated considering my daughter is only 2.5 years old. However it's never too early to be prepared especially in a rapidly changing school environment. I wouldn’t have known it was necessary to put my daughter on a waiting list a year in advance so she can get in a school. Luckily, I am aware of this (due to my wife who is extremely organized and prepared) and we have time. For those with kids, and who didn't know this, I am hoping this serves as a wake up call. In addition, as school budgets are strapped, I hear parents are required to come up with materials needed for class. Here is a basic school supply list that can help your kindergartner this yea...

Here is an interesting blog I never thought I would post since it touches lightly on religion I have always been taught to tread lightly with religion and politics, but let’s make an exception to that rule here, after all this is a blog. I am a Christian and although I might not be considered a devout role model, I am a believer none the less. I read a fantastic book from time to time called the New Believer’s Bible, the first step for new Christians. It was written by pastor, author, and evangelist Greg Laurie and is perfect for both reading and in depth study. As I opened it today and read the first open page, I felt touched to share its contents with you.   Purpose, meaning, a reason for living-these are all things we desire and search for in life. Despite steps each one of us takes...

Are you looking for a Huntington Beach short sale REALTOR? If you are looking for a REALTOR in Huntington Beach to help you with a short sale, it's important that you choose the right agent.    Huntington Beach short sale transactions are a lot more difficult and complicated than a standard real estate transaction.  In most cases, you only have one chance at a short sale.  If the agent you choose is not experienced with short sales, then you risk losing your home to foreclosure. When you meet a Huntington Beach short sale Realtor, ask them why they are qualified to help you?  How many short sales have they closed?  Do they have any special short sale training?  You want someone with experience working for you. Some Realtors may negotiate a short sale themselves and others hire a profess...

Free Loan Modification for Huntington Beach homeowners If you're a Huntington Beach homeowner and looking for a free loan modification you've come to the right place!  Many homeowners are struggling to make ends meet and a loan modification may be the perfect solution for you.  What are some lenders willing to do to modify your loan?  Your lender may do one or a combination of the following things: 1. Reduce your interest rate to 2% 2. Lengthen the term of your loan.  If you currently have a 30 year mortgage, your lender may stretch that out to 40 years. 3. Reduce your principal.  In some cases, lenders have actually reduced the principal of a homeowners mortgage. You have to be careful if you are looking for a loan modification in Huntington Beach.  There are many scam artists who prey...
