As soon as the rain stops in Northern California I will be spending around one week walking within the "Avenue of Giants". These GIANT Redwoods that Vegas Bob will be walking around are located in Orick, Eureka and other areas in NorCal. There are many people that have seen the Redwoods in NorCal, but these are the ones around SF and The Bay Area. Vegas Bob's favorite redwood groves to visit are located approx 90 miles south of the Oregon state border. Another favorite area where VB likes to camp and hike is "The Avenue of Giants" which starts on the north side of Garberville California. Vegas Bob has been hiking within the redwoods in NorCal since he was a teenager and still enjoys visiting the largest living things in the world.            Well "Labor Day" is over and my family has gone back to the Midwest. It was a wonderful weekend celebrating my father's 75th Birthday and spending some time with many other family members. Vegas Bob and family spent most of his time down on Fremont Street with all the tourists, which I am not use to doing. Listening to slot machines, music bands, light shows and so much more has really got my ears and nerves on end. I really don't know how people can work around all this noise, it would drive VB crazy after a short time. So VB is off to the Redwoods in Northern California, and I am not talking the Bay Area or Sacramento ... I am talking way up north only 100 miles from the Oregon Border. The Redwoods along "Avenue of the GIANTS" in Northern California (Don't miss this one)! This Video of Nu Nu & Sherry was taken by Vegas Bob "Labor Day" weekend in one of the most amazing places in the "World" ... The "Avenue of the "GIANTS" and when they say "GIANTS" I am not talking about the football team, they are talking about some of the biggest trees in the "World!" This tree on this video is HUGE but there are others that are even bigger, can you imagine and you thought you had some big trees in your back yard.   Vegas Bob is very-very excited about taking a vacation to California!   I am sure there are members out there that are thinking what is up with Vegas Bob and California! Well let me tell you if you don't know ... Robert Swetz (Vegas Bob) use to travel all through the State of California when he was a teenager, VB knows the State of California inside out and I still travel there when ever I get the chance.  Yes it's true I am taking around 4-5 days and driving to the Redwoods in California. One of my favorite places in the world.  I will be going by myself and the reason I am going now is because I will be starting work on a huge project on"The Strip" but I don't want to talk about work.  Please take a look at a post I put out in 2008 on the Redwoods!  HUGE REDWOOD TREE, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA 2008  I will be camping, hiking and taking photographs of my GIANT friends!  After a few days in the Redwoods I will be driving down the coast from Eureka to San Fransisco.  I will be having a hard time sleeping because of my excitement.  PS - If you would like to read more about the California Redwoods and look at more pics, go to search and type in Redwoods.  Those are the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! And I wanted to share with everyone my favorite person in my life, my best friend and a person I spend so much time with, Nu Nu!  And I also wanted to share one of my favorite places in the world, the Redwood trees in Northern California. After a long day of showing properties in Southern Humboldt County today, I took my clients into Garberville and stopped by one of my all time favorite restaurants in Humboldt County, the Cadillac Wok.  When I went in there today, it was extra busy and filled with all sorts of customers because of the Reggae on the River Festival that was going on throughout this weekend.  We were greeted nicely by a friendly waitress who proceeded to sit us next to the windows so we can people watch.  This restaurant used to be an all Chinese Cuisine restaurant, but the new owners in recent years have added a taste of Thai foods and flavors to their entrees and appetizers.  There were now two separate menus to choose from, one for the Chinese foods and the other for the tasty Thai dishes.  I love Thai ... 08/02/2008

ON Saturday I drove the 2 hours down south from Eureka, to Garberville, to Alder Point Road and up the back mountains of Humboldt County and crossing into Trinity County to show a 30 acres property with a single family home on it.  This was the second time this year that I showed property in this area of Humboldt and Trinity Counties.  The drive was nice because it was a beautiful and sunny day today and we enjoyed the beautiful rolling hills, windy road and fresh air.  The weather was warm too because we were going East and inland.  When we finally arrived at the property address, we were all there at about the same time and the owner was very nice and pleasent and showed us her home.  The house was not that impressing, but my buyers were more interested in the land and acerage.  They ... 08/02/2008
