Encinitas Cruise Nights - Classic Cars~ Last Event for 2021 ~ I suspect everyone, classic car buffs and non-aficionados alike, loves this annual series of Encinitas Cruise Nights on the 3rd Thursday each month from May through September.  I’m not sure but this may be the 19th annual event! As always you can expect members of the various local car clubs to have their vehicles parked for oohing and aahing! If you missed the first 4 events your last opportunity in 2021 is next week, Thursday September 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. I’ve been several times, although it’s been a few years now, and you can’t help but fawn over all the Woodies, Hot Rods and other classic, vintage, and foreign cars parked along the Coast Highway 101 in downtown Encinitas! San Diego Now Allows Tiny Homes and Park Models as ADUsThe ADU landscape has changed in a big way.  This is great news for property/homeowners and investors with small lots with limited space in some ways. The City of San Diego has recently passed an ordinance that allows Tiny Homes and Park Models to be installed as ADUs. All the San Diego jurisdictions are allowed to install them as well under special circumstances. But this is the tip of the iceberg. Jurisdictions Statewide, including the City of Los Angeles are also allowing them as well. It looks to be only a matter of time before we see many if not most jurisdictions beginning to allow them.This does come with a caveat, however. This is not what I signed up for nor what I believe in. Yes, I've been in the affordable housing arena for over 3 decades and have worked with thousands of seniors and entry level homeowners that are looking for lower cost living solutions. One of those is to assist people who have the appropriate size lots to put an Accessory Dwelling Unit on their property. Winter Lunch Al Fresco at Moonlight Beach~ Encinitas CA ~  It was another beautiful winter day here in SoCal...low 60s...and just right for a take-out lunch and dining al fresco at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, about 20 minutes south of where we live (although a longer trip today due to Saturday traffic). This was our view, sitting on one of the benches on the bluff at the edge of the parking lot.
