Think a Foreclosure Moratorium Will Save Your Home? Think Again. You may have heard news that politicians are requesting a federal moratorium on foreclosures and wonder what this means to you, especially if you are behind on mortgage payments. The reality is that a foreclosure freeze is not the answer to your problem. However, there are steps you can take to avoid foreclosure. On the site below I've listed 5 steps to Avoid Foreclosure, which starts out with the proactive approach in avoiding foreclosure-taking action! I have created this site to provide a source of empowerment and education. From short sales to loan modifications, I can provide information to provide a genuine sense of hope.  Remember, a moratorium won't save your home-only you can! I'm here to help.

Can Paint Trump Pain? This is a story about two famous French artists, Henri Matisse (1869-1954) and Auguste Renoir (1841-1919): Although Henri Matisse was nearly 28 years younger than Auguste Renoir, the two great artists were dear friends and frequent companions. When Renoir was confined to his home during the last decade of his life, Matisse visited him daily. Renoir was in a wheelchair, almost paralyzed by rheumatoid arthritis, and in great pain. He remained able to grasp a paintbrush - although he required an assistant to place it in his hand - and Renoir continued to paint in spite of his infirmities. One day as Matisse watched the elder painter working in his studio, fighting torturous pain with each brush stroke, he blurted out, "Auguste, why do you continue to paint when you...

What's a "Good Walk Spoiled"? Golf is a noun, a verb, and depending on the player and the day, a source of great delight or great frustration. Whether you're a pro player or don't know a double bogey from a double eagle, I hope you enjoy this look at the lighter side of golf! Golfer: I'd move heaven and earth to break 100 on this course. Caddy: Try heaven - you've already moved most of the earth. Golfer: Please stop checking your watch all the time. It's a terrible distraction. Caddy: It's not a watch - it's a compass. Golfer: Do you think my game is improving? Caddy: Yes. You miss the ball much closer now. Golfer: Do you think I can get there with a five iron? Caddy: Eventually. Golfer: This is the worst course I've ever played on. Caddy: This isn't the golf course. We left tha...

How To Take The Hassles Out Of Buying A Home     Here's a quick note to let you know how I can help you or anyone you feel comfortable introducing me to.                Many people dream of owning their own home, but are put off by the horror stories they've heard about the process:  securing financing, looking (and looking and looking) at houses, mountains of paperwork, inspections, and the multitude of people who are part of the transaction.                  While the home buying process is complex, with the right information it can go smoothly and end with a happy homeowner.  So, the next time you're in a conversation with a friend, family member or neighbor and they mention how much they'd like to own their own home but just can't face the challenges, feel comfortable enough ...

The Spas of Desert Hot Springs Outsiders would never expect to find the Hot Springs that bubble up out of the desert in the Coachella Valley-- known as Palm Springs to most people.  A short 2 hour drive from LA, the Palm Springs desert has become a destination resort for sun worshipers, spa lovers, foodies, and golf fanatics! A trio of pools including two pools and a spa at The Spring Resort & Spa are kept at different temperatures. This pool, which features a gradual walk-in entry path, is kept at 102 degrees. The Spring Resort & Spa is one of several Desert Hot Springs locations featured in this week's spa tour. For more fun stuff about the desert-- visit LiveTheDesertLife.com!

Lautner Hotel was sold on 4/25/08Steve Lowe purchased this hotel back in 2000. He passed away just last year. I've previewed this place, it's bizarre. I seriously think it's the only historical building in Desert Hot Springs with interesting architecture. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I have been searching for unique architectural designed building in DHS for awhile. Lautner Motel, designed by architect John Lautner in 1947. The property is now internationally recognized as one of the architect's significant design concepts. Walled fortress style for winds and floods..Jennifer Siegal purchased property surrounding this hotel and has plans to build Mid Century Modern Style homes that look amazing in this surrounding area of Desert Hot Springs, ..Title has not registered, cannot confir...

Desert Hot Springs City Council is requiring all foreclosed homes to be registered with the city. The water and power is shut off in these homes. Palm trees, plants and flowers are dead. Pools are green with mold and it's not a pleasant site for the desert. Some of these homes are left wide open, air conditioners, kitchen cabinets, even bathtubs are being stolen from these homes. This is a good thing, just hope they enforce it...REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCILDATE: MARCH 18, 2008TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCILFROM: CITY MANAGER, RICK DANIELSINITIATED BY: ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER, STEVEN A. The size of this soon-to-be popular playground for the celebrities was 240 acres. Charlotte Stocks, Lee Anderson's daughter, remembers bringing date shoots to the B-bar-H from her family's date farm. Exciting news in Desert Hot Springs this evening! the city council has voted to move ahead with a 34M redevelopment bond. The bond is A rated ranking it as good as Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage! this is great news for the city known for having some of the best water in the world and it's natural hot mineral springs. The bond will provide monies for new streets, rehab the small downtown area and the city will buy parcels Pierson Dr. making it possible to eventually build a city center to mention a few of the plans. The city has been in disrepair for many years but known for it's boutique spa's motels and hotels. The Desert Local News and  The Desert Sun Has reported on this. I was also at the council meeting myself and was happy to be there while history was being made for this city that ...

Mountain View By Mission Lakes is a community of close to 380 homes. The community is nestled against the hills on the west side of Desert Hot Springs. There is also an age qualified section so there is something for everyone. The community is a gated community that has three pools, Tennis courts, sport courts and a tot lot for the little ones. Many of the homes have amazing views and some are located on the Mission Lakes Golf Course, for newer homes you can't beat the price point! The city of Desert Hot Springs has had some challenges in the past, in the last year there is a new mayor, city council, city manager and new police chief. It seems that the city is now on tract after much neglect in the main part of town for years. So things are looking up! Mountain View is a great community t...
