 The slogan for the Del Mar Race Track is " Where the Surf Meets the Turf". This was supposedly said by Bing Crosby but I think it was actually the marketing arm of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Organization back when they decided to build the race track. What ever the origin, ActiveRain was a part of two seasons when we held our first ActiveRain Soiree back about 8 years ago.  Jeff Dowler and I may be the only members  of that original group that are still active in the Rain.
