What does it mean to be a person of influence?  How can you influence the people you know, in a positive way?  The group of “people you know” is referred to as your “sphere of influence” is the circle of people you know, who will listen to you and take your advice. You have great influence over everybody in your circle.  Your sphere is everyone you know personally: your family, friends, neighbors, business associates, church, vendors, clients and club members.  The people in your hot zone (inner circle) are the people that you know the most.  You have the greatest amount of influence over these folks that are closest to you in your innermost circle.  The people on the fringes of your sphere, in the outermost circle, those are the folks you have the least influence over.  And of course t...

And They're Off....... Opening Day at the Del Mar Racetrack tomorrow celebrates it's 75th year. Back in 1937, Bing Crosby was there on it's first opening day to greet the fans. Hats and finery will be the standard attire for opening day at Old Del Mar where the surf meets the turf.  A lot has changed over the years but what hasn't changed is the same exciting atmosphere enhanced for larger crowds and facilities that make Old Del Mar one of the premier racetracks in existence today.

Some of the bigger banks and financial institutions are currently facing backlogs of as much as 90 days. This situation is being created by several factors including all of the current refinances due to low rates as well as some government sponsored programs. The low rates are driving many homeowners to refinance into what are viewed by many as “rates we won’t see gain for a long time”. The smart money is positioning to have a lower cost of ownership in their homes as many shore up their finances. The Obama Administrations Making Home Affordable program has an option they call Home Affordable Refinance Program or HARP that was designed to assist home owners who are in financial distress keep their homes by refinancing them into a more affordable rate as opposed to foreclosure. Back not very many years ago, Michael Jackson's Neverland was filled with carnival rides and one attraction that used to be on Michaels's Neverland property now operates at the San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack.   The Wave Swinger that hoists riders up in the air on the giant swing set and then spins them around has been an attraction at the San Diego Fair since 2009, the year of Michael Jackson's passing.  This photo was taken at the San Diego County Fair last year but I was so pleased to learn this new bit of San Diego Trivia so I had something to write in my blog post to be able to share the photo.
