STAGECOACH is becoming just as popular as the exciting music festival COACHELLA!         This year at STAGECOACH, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will visit the desert in April to headline Stagecoach, California’s Country Music Festival, in Indio, organizers announced Thursday.     Aside from the four headliners, the 2012 festival’s lineup also includes Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Martina McBride, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry and comedian Steve Martin playing with bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers.   Stagecoach, which had been a two-day weekend festival in its first five years, expands to include Friday in 2012. Summer is here and so are the openings of many swimming pools, both public and private. Kids will be donning their swimming suits and water wings and rushing out to the pool…which is exactly what they should NOT be doing. “Walk, don’t RUN” rules need to be told to each child using the pool. Many serious accidents happen when kids run, slip and fall. Pool decks are mighty slippery. Another rule that must be followed is “NO glass in the pool area.” Plastic cups should be the only utensil allowed by the pool. And please keep the noise level down, for both voices and music. For much of the country, and areas in California, home sales and prices have not risen, however, that is not the case in our beautiful Palm Springs Desert, where home prices and sales are RISING! According to the local newspaper, which obtains their figures from Data Quick, sales are 23% more than they were a year ago, and prices are slowly beginning to creep upwards as well. Coachella Music Festival has done it again with yet another tremendous event set to take place.  The Coachella Music Festival three day event will showcase a plethora of elite bands and musical artists featuring a wide array of different genres.  Beat The Rain PSA will be held on the weekend of April 16th and will go thru Sunday, April 18th. If you are looking to get a good spot, the best time to arrive is around 9:00 am as this is when parking opens.  Arriving this early will allow for possible traffic and security search at the entrance.  While camping opens up on Thursday, the Venue gates will not open until 11:00.  The good news is the party lasts all day and night as the festival will end at 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday and midnight on Sunday. Last night, Jackson Square Shopping Center did a great thing that  think people need to know about.  Albertsons and the surrounding buisnesses donated money to host a middle school choir competition in their parking lot.  Not only did several people show up to hear these youth sing Christmas Carols but U92.7 the radio station was there to help promote it on the air.  The kids all sang beautifully and there were 6 different middle schools competing. 1st place went to Sacred Heart from Palm Desert,they received $1,000 2nd place went to Palm Desert Charter Middle School and they received $500   What an amazing way for Albertsons to support our kids. 12/04/2009
